Our interview time at 1:55pm.

I think so many candidates prefer am class (me too) so SP sent letter to me and let me choose pm class.

請不用緊張, 我都唔知點解會收到信. 信的大概內容係話 :
"上午班申請人數眾多, 如接受入讀下午班, 即可於本年度入讀幼兒班. 如一定要上午班就要 on waiting list後補".
所以我接受讀下午班.

可能學校要預早安排上,下午班的人數, 以便於3月17日後正式通知.

希望你可以收到接受信啦.

I also got the offering letter for PM class. The offering letter content is the same as Waikiu's one.

Some friends told me that it would not be easy to get in the AM class unless you know someone there. I think the chance for waiting list is not hight so I returned the reply slip to SPK by hand today.

This happens every year. For those parents prefer am class but the school can only offer them pm section, St. Paul will send them letters to ask whether they are willing to accept pm section before official announcement date. So for those haven't received letters, don't worry and you should get it on Mar 17 or 18.

我既感覺係 SPK想計下pm class 有幾多正取生 confirm入讀, 我囡囡 sept 2005 屬細囡, 未收信可能唔收所以 17 March 先通知..

- My girl is studying pre-nursery close to home
- She was born in Jan.

If we don't accept the PM class offer, they will put us into the AM waiting list. My husband and I think the chance of AM class is very low... no one will give up the offer. So, we have no choice but accept the PM offer!

Dear all

I don't have received the result from SPK yet. I've a friend's daughter got an acceptance letter on last week. As I know her elder daughter is studying in SP primary school. So I think SPK to choice the applicants for those who have a sister studying in SP.

At this stage, I think SPK have already sent out all acceptance letters and did the registration. Some are not accepted, they will send the letter after 17 Mar.

p.s. I think the procedures of SPK will count the AM and PM classes before 17 Mar. Others unsuccessful letters will be mailed after 17 Mar. SPK will not spend a long period on the registration.

I am sorry that it may not be the case. From developmental psychology point of view, singleton usually have weaker communication skills and weaker emotional control. (People usually call EQ. ) Singletons are usually the focus of the family, they have all the parents' concern and nuture. This is exactly what u said "獨生子女會獲父母較多的關注及培養". The down side is that they have relatively less chance to communicate and share with others. This is particular important in this stage. In a long run, if the parents over protect the kid, their Adversity Quotient,AQ , will also be low. I reckon the teachers will give lower mark for singleton in this case...

My daughter has been rejected as well, I believe it is because she is a small girl, Oct.
This is under our prediction, this may not a loss as I feel SPK did not pay any interest to interview the applicant nor attempt to explore the talent of the children. Very likely that they just look at the background of the parent.
My daughter will study in SH PM class.

I can share some experience here that, my girl's BD is 04尾, try many school last year ALL accept, only SPK reject--> cause 細囡,
So I let her study in another school K.1, and this year 再接再勵try SPK again. Got admitted.
But I can say that, my girl's performance this year is much much better than last year, at least she is willing to talk withe teacher. Last year still too small, just 2 years old, how to compare with 3 years old's kids?

Absolutely agree! Those small babies mama, don't give up!! If you really want your kid to study in SPK, try again next year.

From the acceptance list, sounds those babies who born in Oct or later are rejected, reflected that the school is only accept those age between 3-6. Of course, exceptional case is excluded.

Your baby should be very smart. Which kinder is she studying now? It should be also a good one. My daughter are in similar situation but she is one year younger than your daughter. I have the same planning as yours but my husband strong object to it because he does not want our daughter to waste one year and he said that it will also make her very boring to learn those she has already known and lose interest in learning. What is your reason for your daughter to repeat?

Hi Broadband & all,

My girl is now studying in SMM (聖瑪加利大)幼稚園 in 跑馬地, I can say, it's a very good school, the teacher their is kind and patient, even the 校工都好好人, and I'm impressed by their 校長's教學理念, so last year I let my girl to study here.

      And my girl is very enjoying the school life here. However, the SPK still is my first choice, as I have many friends graduated  there and as well as my friend's kids. All the comments from SPK's  is positive, and the most important and our concern is 一條龍, right?! So Although SMM is very good in all but we still have risk when our kids go to to P.1, so that's why I let her try and repeat in K.1 in SPK.

   Some of my family members also think that, it's a kind of wasting time to repeat, but my girl is born in Dec. Actually, there's no difference with those kids born in Jan/ Feb.  We are not rushing them to graduate and come out to work, and they won't feel boring as every school got different teaching materials, and when they go to Kindergarten, they are mainly PLAYING than studying.

      As we can heard the opinions from the parents of SPK, their kids studying in SPK has not much stress, and I believed that they will become a happy kids with full of confident.

不過我想強調一點就係,如果我個囡係讀緊SH(聖心) or培正-->mean 一條龍幼稚園,我就未必會轉. My Point is SPK might not be the best kindergarten, but for some parents/ childern, it just suitable our requirements.

Someone told me that SPK does not guaurantee 一條龍, it does not have sufficient seats for all K3 students in their two kindergartens. They shall select their prefered students in K3, the refused one have to look for P1 in other school. I do not know whether this is true.

Be frank, I am not spite because my daughter was rejected. But I am not sure whether SPK is really good. Because of the style and impression given in the interview, it was the worst one which I have ever experienced. No any love, kindliness, nor patience was felt from the arrangement and attitude of the SPK staffs during interview. May be they are good but they are too tired to deal with two thousands applicants. Perhaps you also have the same or different feeling or opinion .....

One the other hand, if they accepted my daughter, I would let my daught study in SPK, a bit contradict or a sense of achievement for the daughter.

I am totally agree with you that, SPK's interview is the shortest and worst I meet among those kindergarten. I was upset last year, as they reject my girl--main reason as she is small girl.

But back to the reality, we still HOPE that our kids could study in SPK, as we know or I know their teacher is really use their heart to teach their students...however, this might not applicable to the interviewers.

And the 1 dragon method to go to SPP, I have 2 friends who's girl is studying in SPP, it's true that, SPK might only have 88 to 90% to go to SPP, not 100% like before, but those could not back to SPP, is those final 10 or 13 amount that year. So if our kids not behave really bad, I think it's not a problem. and one of my friend's girl even change to DGS from P.2, and now already F.3 and still studying in DGS.

Hi Lionkiki,

If this is the case that the bottom 10 or 13 students in K3 may not be accepted to SPP, then it could be more risky for the small girl to study in SPK, someone told me that their class have one small girl (Oct, have not been told why she was accepted), but she is the most problematic one in the class and have been complained by the teachers.
