亞仔超中意返學，呢度你應該唔洗擔心小朋友唔中意返學喎。其實功課量唔多，質量都唔錯。有人話英文略深。我自已覺得ok。

課外活動多，唔貴，不過名額有限。我地冇參加，因為路程遠。

好多細節我未必講得清楚，我只可以話，呢間學校個環境令到小朋友成長得好有自信，例：覺得被師長重視，呢點多多錢都買唔到。

I think it is just getting some background information.

Most of after school activities are arranged on Sat. You will see many students and parents at school every Sat.

Thanks for your kind and prompt reply. If most of the ECA are held on Saturdays, that means my son can leave the school at 2:30am? So early? That's pretty good.

You asked me why I gave up St.Paul boys in another thread (location?). In my case, location is not a problem. I want to find a school that is suitable for my son and can meet my expectation. I've explained in another thread that St.Paul boy is too traditional and conservative for us (when we attended the briefing for P.1 students earlier). I love St.Stephen (stanley)more than St.Paul boys after making comparisons. However, my son loves Ying Wah more. Also, when I consider the secondary school section, I made a very difficult decision and gave up St. Stephen finally. I also love SFA since we're Catholics but having considered that we have to search secondary schools after 6 years and the type of parents there may be very different from Ying Wah due to the pressure and keen competition, I gave up too. If CKY gives me an offer in Jan after finished all the second interviews, I'll have heartbreaking again. I love CKY too. There're so many good schools out there. Sometimes, it's time-consuming for people to argue and argue. That's up to individual choices. No right or wrong. In my case, I believe that through-train school may be able to give more well-structured curriculum, rather than pushing the students for public assessments. I'm quite satisfied with the current outcome and glad to meet you all.

I phoned the school bus company this morning... they told me that Beacon Hill is the first stop for route 14. That means the bus departs at 7:05 am

(I don't have much concern on this)... but... they also told me that Beacon Hill is also the last stop ie arrive at 3:30 pm

I said to the car company that the return time is really BAD, SSP to Kln Tong needs an hour? If take taxi only costs below $40.... that's not acceptable. The car co. also agreed that the arrangement is no good.

I am thinking to move to Olympic where the pick up/return time is 7:30 am and 2:50 pm

homework --> Not much, should be able finished in 1 hour.

我亞仔出年都會加入英華小學. 我都好担心佢啲功課. 亞仔唔係好自己肯做功課, 做咗都係好求其, 而家放工要check 佢啲功課, 我怕小學等我夜晚先再改/做功課, 就太晚了.

另外我都考慮緊要唔要搬屋, 唔駛咁舟車勞動. 重有半年諗.

不過全日既放學時間都係兩點半咋,坐校車返到屋企最多都係三點幾,咁唔要工人就要搵人幫手睇住既啦.
我就覺得如果個工人都好既,咁就算啦,係最近都聽到好多朋友個工人唔係借錢就走佬,都好麻煩.咁樣安排到既話,就唔好要好過啦.

其實學校有飯堂專責煮飯比細路，有ABCD，任君選擇。據聞有營養師家長提供餐單，又有家教會成員監察，所以又健康又味美。一直享譽盛名。

不過我亞仔性格"柯過"，一定要食屋企飯，咪點個工人做囉！其實咁攪法，連同工人車費，真係貴過訂飯！

我好想快啲亞仔入小一, 咁佢就可以係學校食飯. 我而家都担心個工人中午嗰餐亞仔食咩, 食幾多, 食幾耐. 入咗小一係學校食我就放心囉. 我工人煮野都好重手, 中午得佢同亞仔兩個人, 都唔知食幾醎都無人知. 琴晚先俾我見到佢買咗個爛carrot番嚟, 有得揀都買到咁, 又講唔到幾錢, 俾佢激死. 都係貴啲係百佳買, 都唔會買到咁差. 唉, 要捱多半年.

英華190週年校慶，我都有去呀！D攤位遊戲好好玩，我囝囝同埋個朋友仔玩得好開心，又有禮物換，我地仲留守到最後睇埋D英華大哥哥表演唱歌，有位哥哥用男聲扮女聲唱歌，又有幾位哥哥Rap歌，好精采，個個都好落力，全無怯場，中學部李校長上到檯仲話:「I'm proud of Ying Wa」，最後D大哥哥大合唱後一切高呼口號，場面好振奮、好團結‧‧‧勁！

我個囝好想快d去小學呀,因為佢話而家個老師好惡(嚴)呀,佢個同學仔時時同佢傾,佢唔想傾,但係都俾人罰埋.

不過我都擔心第日可能我地做家長既都會忙好多啦.

I recall on the registration day, the teacher/clerk told me that there would be a P1 preparatory course in late August. BTW, I guess both of our sons are from the same kinder.

1) The Japanese restaurant at the basement of Jardine House? or
2) Grappes @ Jardine House? or
2) Delifrance at Worldwide House? or
3) Canteen at Prince's Building?

我而家仔仔讀緊k2, 想問如果下年想考英華小一, 咩時間須要報名, 係唔係好難考呢, 會唔會選讀名牌幼稚園, 須要小朋友英文好叻嗎, 有咩要求, INTETVIEW考D咩, 要注意甚麼, 因為我入唔到個學校網址睇資料, 你地09年學費係幾多, 校車何文田附近大約幾錢呢? 好多問題想知, 希望你地得閒就解答吓我啦, THANKS.

路過, 搭訕....你上唔到個校網睇, 咁你試吓用"FIREFOX"上, 唔好用IE上。我都係咁, 唔知點解學校轉咗個版面後, 我用唔返IE, 要用firefox, 但係上學校個intranet, 又可以用返IE上! 所以, 現在少上了校網, 要d靚太通知最新消息才知道

報名時間: 今年的係8月, 我估出年會差唔多時間, 通常之前都有簡介會, 妳可以約7月中開始留意學校個web 或上來BK, 睇下有冇最近的消息
幼稚園: 呢個我唔識答, 不過, 我估小朋友面試時的表現亦很重要
英文程度: 聽聞07年第一屆的直資生英文相當不錯
interview 考的咩: 分別要見老師及校長, 要答問題, 不過唔知出年會唔會形式上有改變

林校長相當著重小朋友有看書的習慣,而且亦很強調家庭是小朋友第一所學校, 家長的身教是很重要..

祝妳的小朋友今年考上理想的小學!

我補充少少啦.

學費係$1500一個月.

面試分兩輪.
第一輪會見一次老師,一班小朋友一齊,但係亦有分別傾既時間.當中會考中英數常識.第二次見校長,5個一齊入,校長會講故事,問問題.
如果成功左就入到第二輪,會家長同小朋友一齊去睇校長.
2009呢界就有1844個小朋友報名,第一輪揀剩300個,第二輪揀150個.

校長不停咁強調佢地想要d小朋友係有家教囉!

hi every parents, just found out this topic, my son will also join YW 2009 P1.
Similar to some of the parents here, i will move in the coming year but not decided yet where to move. Move to shatin will near mum's workplace and grandma. Move to kowloon - AquaMarine in Cheung sha wan will be easier for my son to go to school. My younger daughter also go to kindergarden in Kowloon Tong. Difficult decision.

from 8.00am to 2.30pm
but on some Wednesday, students will be released at 12.30pm due to meetings of teachers
the school will issue notices to parents on it

我搭訕！

你會乘校巴嗎？你可check兩處地方上落車的時間先啦！沙田有2架車，馬鞍山---沙田線近尾站的7:05-7:10上車，then直入尖山隧道，好快到校！但另一火炭線就車程長些！

住九龍都要看校車怎行，有些站多車程長，不可長沙灣應不怎樣dou路卦！

我都是搭訕. 我是沙田馬鞍山線尾站近大圍車公廟 7:15-7:20上車.
車程好快10分鐘可以回到學校. 放學第一站 3:00到達.
試過幾次唔知醒. 7:00 才起床. 7:30 乘的士回校. 7:45前已到達. 的士費大概$80.00.只供參考.

I live in TKO and phone the nanny bus company to check the time. They will come to pick up my son at 6:45.
I have also phoned the school and they told me the school hour would be 8:30 to ??? (i don't understand why it is different from their website)...
If it is really 8:30, i don't understand why my son should get on the bus at 6:45...about 2 hours before....
