如果想join政府派位, 最低年齡係入學果年既9月1日, 要足5歲8個月
不過直資同國際學校就唔一定要跟

適齡兒童, 即翌年9月開課時年滿5歲8個月至7歲.

Are u sure? I think as DSSs get subvention from the gov't, they should therefore be subject to the same age restriction. Pls enlighten if otherwise.
PS However, I am aware that the age restriction may not apply in case of private schools such CKY and St Stephen's (the one in Stanley).

朋友的仔系2003年12尾出細, 佢今年派小一, 所以你是 2004年12月6日是可以報讀 P.1
不過12月出細就即系人稱 "細"仔或女, 你應考慮下小朋友對現在所學的理吾理解。因為參加政府的派位, 每個小朋友只可以一次。

I think her/his kid was born in Dec 2006.
While I generally agree to your comment about the so-called "small kids", there are always exceptions. Like in my friends' case, their kid started his P1 at the age of 5 yrs 6 mths. That's a private school, and I think there is flexibility in admitting a small kid.
What I want to illustrate is that as parents, we should know what our kids are up to, whether they are prepared to take on challenges (physically, psychologically and academically) one year in advance.

我個"細"女和同班大仔，相差可以有二年，你個五歲讀小一，人地七歲。

當初讀k1前都有諗過你呢個問題，後來覺得應該俾小朋友嘗試下，唔俾佢試ge話，你唔會知佢得唔得(悲觀d講，留番個quota預小學追唔上都可以repeat，ha！)。

大仔 is better than 細仔 more & more, especially before 8 years old & p1-p2.
however the teacher will not or never understand it.

repeat k3 only has 1 reason,......................
if not good 小學, repeat can get a second chance.however, no one say the ture.

有個專家話過留就留K1，因為個小朋友還乜野事都未知。我懂位家長個小朋友在崇真小學考全級第一，佢都係留過K1。

其實您小朋友都唔使甘心急要佢讀書, 2006年12月出世, 今年年尾至3歲, 有o的學校要足3歲至收家. 我囡囡都係3歲8個月至讀幼稚園, 返學都唔知幾開心, 又唔使怕佢呢樣o個樣, 返到來怕佢唔識話你知係學生生活點. 現在我囡囡今年9月讀小一啦, 都唔知幾開心.

係指'第一次'統一派位結果唔啱心意, 可以 repeat, 第二年再參加過統一派位 得 ge 咩?
參加統一派位的其中一個資格係 "從未獲派小一學位" wor

Yes, I agree.
My son was born on Dec.
P.1-P.2 my son's rank no. around 60-80,
but P.3 is 25 - 35.
So in my own opinion, no need to repeat.

梗係得,你唔去註冊就當放棄=從未獲派小一學位,九月又自選,唔得又等統一派位.詳情和老師商討,但不鼓勵咁做
參加資格（必須符合下列全部要求）
• 二○○九年九月入學時年滿五歲八個月
（ 即二○○三年十二月三十一日或以前出生）
• 本港居民
• 尚未入讀小學
• 從未獲派小一學位
