My son currently go to Little Gym every week but since they planned to move somewhere in TST next year (March 2010)... still not confirmed the venue yet and i had received a sms from Kiddy Gym today and invited me for free trial class before January 2010. If some BK's mami went for Kiddy Guy and Little Gym please kindly advise what is the different between both. Thanks

My son will join Kiddy Gym since Jan 10 because all weekend classes are full in Little Gym next semester.

I went to Kiddy Gym and tried a class last 2 months. As my opinion, Kiddy Gym is smaller than the Little Gym. So they are not allowed so many kids in one class, and instructors can take care of you all the time. Not like the Little Gym, 20 kids + 20 parents + 2 instructors.

By the way, most of new comers from the Little Gym are not enough experience and I can't see any passion from them.( My opinion only )

By the way, is anyone know which instructors at The Kiddy Gym who worked for The Little Gym before?

I went to a trial class at Kiddy Gym some time ago and knew that some instructors who used to work in Little Gym have gone to Kiddy Gym.

The good thing about Kiddy Gym is that the waiting area and the play area is not separated by glass, so you can observe your kid even though you're not the one going in to play with him.

The area in Kiddy Gym is smaller but as Vanessa_Louis said, there are also fewer kids in one class. So I think it's ok.

I went to Kiddy Gym last Saturday, only a bit small but two instructors can easy take care every adult and child, i asked Kiddy Gym the maximum attendance for every class is 12 pax, so they can easy to handle and of course there venue is smaller than Little gym. BTW, the instructor was Mr. R who used to work in Little gym before and my son was super happy about that...

Both my elder daughter and my younger daughter joined little gym and kiddy gym,
i feel wounder that kiddy gym did not only "dig out" staff from little gym,
but also all the program content and run down of little gym,
most importantly, the client base also,
i feel fear that the kiddy gym is very likely to be complainted

I went for trial class today and it seemed that the instructors are all professional and passionate about kids.

Nice place with smaller class size. my girl enjoyed that.

what about gymboree in tst? they opened a new center there (opposite to giordano concept store) and also offer free trial class. I took my son there and he likes it very much

Little Gym is moving to Harbour City office tower 8th floor on 25 March, I think.

Mr. R and Mr J are at Kiddy Gym... they may be the only instructors there... the place is small, cozy, friendly and smaller classes with more attention

yes, because one of the staff gone to Kiddy Gym and introudce another, of couse Kiddy Gym not enough manpower. The reason i dun think they are related because The Little Gym will open a branch at Causeway Bay in May or June, no reason to fight each other, if they are related.

I don't think so too! Little Gym is coming from the US, all the system and managment issues have to follow the US, so the staff there can't have their own decisions.

My Kiddy Gym is a local playgroup. That's why staff jump from Little Gym to My Kiddy Gym as they can develop their ideas freely.

Yes, Little Gym is an US group,
but has franchise system,
so it is still possible that the owner
is hong kong people.
I've tried Kiddy Gym, it's almost 70% alike Little Gym, that is why I feel curious.

we started in Harbour City, coz my son go to weekend class, only one floor can get the lift which on G/F beside LV's shop, no free parking duirng the weekend, and also during weekend need to queue up for car parking at Ocean Terminal, so need to spare more time for this, other than that the area seems a bit smaller than New World centre. But actually i think the area is bigger just only less one side window so we felt a bit smaller. But so far is ok for us.

我就係覺得little gym依家個班老師好唔知點咁,,好想同仔仔轉!!而且我地又住係港島區...如果miss may遲d都會轉去kiddy gym既話就好啦!!!

以前ms may佢會成日好主動咁撩我仔仔(對其他學生都會)玩,,次次落堂都一定要抱佢一陣同埋又攬又錫咁架!!好親切,,連我做阿媽既,我都鐘意ms may啦!!好老實,我報左第2個學期主要原因都係因為ms may,,但點知原來佢係有左bb(好攪笑,冇見佢2個星期,個肚突然間大得好緊要,,之前一直都唔知佢係有左架...!!)

依家我自己既感覺就係,拿拿臨上埋呢個學期就算啦...唉!!我都覺得我仔仔上堂冇以前咁開心...

My baby has joined My Kiddy Gym. I am quite happy with the class in general. My baby was sooooo... scared in the first two lessons but the instructors have been very patient to him. Now he has become one of the most active children in his class! The only thing I don't feel good is that the place is a bit too small.

係呀,我都上過佢一堂,都幾好呀!因為上次Ms Lein(唔知點串,金頭髮果個)開唔都聲,佢成日都係好唔到聲架,佢ok gar... 果d Assistant 真係成日換,都唔明點解唔可以fix 一個 assistant, 反而instructor 如果我唔洗make up class 都係金髮女子,但佢都係唔係好好囉.

其實唔知有無媽咪記得,未搬之前好似見過一張notice,關於有兩個instructors...比police調查呀?懷疑偷左公司d野....唔知關唔關事呢?果時係過完年走左幾個instructor,所以我都無為意,希望唔關ms may事啦!佢好好人架.

但這也是我一向擔心的地方,
兩間gym我都有去過,
感到kiddy gym不是不好,
而是比little gym更好,
可是真有"照抄"的可能了,
始終難以告成的,

My daughter goes to Kiddy Gym since Feb this year. She really likes it, so do we as parents. The place is small but the instructors are all very nice, professional and attentive. They have 2 instructors for each class and the other instructors would also assist even they are not the instructors of that class, very good team work! A lot of the times when I cannot go to the class on the specific timeslot, I can easily change to another slot by calling them just a couple days earlier, very flexible. I have never been to other gym so I cannot compare, this is just my sharing, hope it helps.

My daughter went to the Kiddy Gym for a trail class last Sun & we all feel very happy & satisfty. The instructor (Roger?) is very nice. Actually we've joined the trail class of JWx & Gymbxxx before but we don't like the course content. And also their instructors quite "hea" & lots of free time.

My son(16mths) took the trial class at kiddy gym last saturday and we all enjoyed very much!the instructor is very professional and nice, and the assistant is also very caring and attentive to children. I like the free environment since during class, visitors can watch just standing behind the cupboard at the waiting area, and same, we can also observe the others after our lesson.finally after the trial class, my hubby paid $2400 for the next coming 12 lessons.

I tried Little Gym, My Kiddy Gym and Gymboree before and would like to share my experiences to all of you.

I attended the classes in Little Gym for 9 months. At the beginning, the instructors were very good and professional, and my son was no longer afraid of strangers because of the classes there.

However, the intructors left one by one: Mr Regee, Ms Kaycee and Ms May May. I found that the new instructors were far from expectation. Hence I joined My Kiddy Gym. Another reason was I lived in HK side, My Kiddy Gym would be much more convenient to me.

Mr Regee is a very good instructor. Under his leadership, we could see that the classes in My Kiddy Gym were well developed.

We moved to Kowloon since April, so I had to explore another gym again. I knew that My Kddy Gym will open another branch in Kln, but Mr Regee said it will be end of the year, so I tried TST Gymboree. The trial class was taken on weekday and the instructor was ok. Hence I joined the course on weekend.

We started 2 weeks there, but the impression is getting worse and worse. Last week when we arrived, the staff wrote down my son's name, but she spelled wrong for 2 times, which was so unprofessional. After starting the class, the instructor Alan introduced the equipments in the gym room and asked the kids to play. But during his briefing, I was shocked to see that he took out a "cue card" and read what he had to say. My husband immediately lodged a complaint against him as it showed that he didn't prepare for the class at all !!!

I was so upset by the instructors and decided to join My Kiddy Gym again. For the classes in Gymboree, I would finish it during weekdays, at least the instructor will not be Alan !

i bring my son to gym's playgroup around his 1 year old, which he can manage to walk a bit, when i took a trial class he did not manage to walk and i found very difficult to play with him. i think the earliest around 8-9 months is ok for BB go to gym's playgroup, if you want your child to play play and develope his muscle and social skills, gym class is ok for them. But if you want to train him for listen for instruction i think need to wait until you child is 1 year and seach for another kind of playgroup. You may bring your child to trial class first, see it is suitable for you or not.

其實我個仔都有上TST Gymboree Level 6, 但我覺得幾好, 老師幾有愛心, 地方都好乾淨, 我個仔好鍾意moving/gym through role play (有一次做firefigther我個仔好興奮)

I did my trial class in TST Gymboree this afternoon. Same impression - 'instructor' Alan was far too green to manage anything. In fact, I didn't know he is an instructor until reading all previous posts. Originally, I think he is either a helper or a trainee.
Since it is our first time to a baby gym, our feeling about the centre is quite positive, quite spacious and clean - better than the Baby Buddies in Tin Hau, of course, BB is much cheaper. Instructor Diane is quite good too.

Still thinking whether to join or not, since there is a promotion in TST for 15 classes at 12 classes fee in May. I have 2 more trial classes to go before end of this month, will see.

My class was teacher Emily, she's quite patient and I call tell that she loves kids. Teacher Alan was also in my class last time, but since he's doing the "assistant" role, I didn't quite pay attention... as an assistant (as I presume) he is OK

我呢家好唔鐘意呢家嘅Little Gym, 好差, D人好差,個場好細,我至怕一班落堂,一班上堂,幾廿個大人同細佬向個waiting area 度,又無地方換shoes, 呢家個waiting room 又細,好鬼煩, instructor 又唔係好,好差...我個仔上次就係無地方換shoes撞親個頭,連Ms mandy 都唔見左呀??HK$220一堂,唔值!

I am going to have trial class for My Kiddy Gym in CWB and Gymboree in Central in the coming weekend. How would you ladies compare these 2? I have attended the trial of Gymboree in TST and I share the same view that the instructors were not very professional cos they needed the cue card when introducing the class!!!

My elder son start joining the little gym since 7 months till now he is 2.5yrs old.

Sometimes it depends your child . They have some mental ability to show he does or doesnt like the class no matter how old they are ....

You can bring your baby to trail class and see before you actual join.

Just want to share with all of you, my girl is currenlty joining the gym in Kiddy Gym and Miss May is now working in there with Mr. Reggie. Both of them love kids very much. My girl is very happy and enjoyable in there.

One more advantage in Kiddy Gym is that the flexibility. ie. If you miss a lesson, you can do it later. Unlike Little Gym that it is not to be fixed to do the supplementary class within the 'joined 3 months'. This is one of the points I like Kiddy Gym very much.
