I applied Victoria playgroup for my son Jan this year (my son is 14 mon now), but until now I still in waiting list, and there are 800 kids ahead of me, please help adv what else I can do now? thanks

There are so many english & mandarin playgroups, so no need to wait!
My son went to Anfield and he also got a seat in K1 at Victoria.

Thanks, I am also looking for other playgroup now, but just heard that if in V 's playgroup, it will be easy to get into it's K1.

可能因為小朋友因熟悉環境表現好d, 其實 in 當日的表現只是學校萬千考慮之一, 不用擔心

Personal experiences :
1. nothing special with V. playgroup; neither too bad nor outstanding (years ago).
2. U need to get into their Nursery to secure K1;
3. They have so many playgroup students in each campus and i don't think being one of playgroup students will have significant previllege for N1 interview;
4. Per other parents' suggestions, go for other good playgroups and come back for N1 interview if u really like this school.

It's true that there is nothing special about Victoria playgroup.
There are many playgroups around that are so much better than Victoria playgroup.

個人經驗: 其實維記pg不上也沒有損失, 外間有很多更好更平的選擇

If you think Victoria has a long waiting list, YCIS has an even longer list.

There's also Tutortime, HK preschool.

Personally experiences tell that K1 is the real starting point of a child education, nursery and playgroup are only something good to have...
Do more research now and look for the best route for your children education. u still have plenty of time.

You may consider PIPS, Nottingham etc.

上唔上vic的pg與能否取錄pn毫無直接關係,有人上過pg到pn面試時被淘汰,也有人未上過pg但被pn取錄.很多人說因為環境熟悉而面試表現或會好一點,但還有太多太多你無法控制的因素(eg時間,老師,孩子當時心情,一齊面試的小朋友態度...)影響面試結果.

認為兩者有直接關係,只是迷思.
