《典範英語》書的大小和ORT差不多，但將四頁縮成一頁，所以字的大小也只有原來的四份之一，對小朋友來說字體是比較細。

舊年小一其中一本 reader 正是 Kipper and the Giant，即《典範英語》四上級 或 ORT Stage 6。
題外話：今期壹週刊剛介紹「淘點網」，可以用來買不送往香港的貨物。

我買咗 stages 1-5, 搵親戚帶番嚟嘅, 紙質同顏色都唔錯, 啲字雖然比香港版細, 但係都睇得舒服, 呀女反而鍾意佢咁樣合訂本多啲, 因為佢可以一本書睇到好多好多故事。(因為有時我哋只準比佢帶一本書出街)
仲有CD添, 字正腔圓, 不過節奏略嫌慢咗啲, 搞到呀女聽又嫌慢, 唔聽又囉囉戀咁。

想問下, 如果唔係由stage1 第一本開始睇起, 會唔會唔明 ? 各stage之間有冇relation ? 唔該晒, 因呀仔未睇過這套書, 但佢愛看其他英文書, 我唔想買太淺stage, 怕佢唔睇.....

ORT 啲故事有啲係有關連, 但唔係連續劇咁, 所以唔連住睇都可以..
雖然我呀女都可以睇到香港版stage 5, 但係就唔等於國內版 stage 5, 因為我發覺某啲Stage 5 故事放咗喺國內版Stage 3a內, e.g. the magic key, castle adventure and etc.
又, 香港版stage 1 kipper stories 系列係冇字, 得圖畫嘅, 但stage 1 first words 就有單字, 但國內版 stage 1a lesson 1 就已經有字嚕, 即係first words系, 連first words, first sentences.
prc stage 1b 大約等於 香港stage 2..
長氣得滯, sorry, 只係想比多啲深淺程度資料比你參考吓..

also, i see that stage 6 and above, the look is totally difference, are they also oxford reading tree ? cos seems the contents are also not related to kipper and the family.........

《典範英語》六至九級 are Oxford Reading Tree Treetops series. These books are not about Biff, Chip and Kipper. The stories about Kipper for stages 10 - 12 will be released later this year.

so ORT , up til stage 9, is for kids 6-7 yrs only? i think they are for the whole primary section tim !
may be it is diff eng level between kids in England and HK.

That is the recommendation from UK and the below link is the recommendation from HK. At GT, we start from stage 6 at G1. Move up 1 stage every year and change to Treetops stage 10 at G5.

Sorry for my late reply as I missed the post. The above information is from OUP UK website. I just checked the chart again and it still said "To be released by Sept 2010". Apparently, the release is delayed.
