我是超级喜欢这间学校，听了3年的简介会，觉得这间学校真的是从小朋友的本质出发的来进行教学的，和他们也对家长的素质也是有要求的，真的很喜欢，（可惜我儿子和这间学校无缘） 个人认为环境因素是对小朋友成长占有很大的影响！你找一间好学校不如帮他找一个好环境！希望我们的小朋友都找到适合自己的学校！加油！

I don't think my kid is expressive. However, he's quite good at recognising Chinese and English words.

Yes. We got the letter today without receiving a phone call in advance. Actually we are quite surprised at getting the letter b'cos we don't have much hope in view of the great competition.

Agreed. The school is very caring and the curriculum is picking up b'cos of the Headmistress' determination. But we didn't apply to it b'cos of the same reason as mentioned by you.

我老公都不是舊生但係基督教. 不過唔係同一宗教. 我個仔8月尾. 可能記性好, 記得晒個故事所以能夠有2ND IN.但係佢體藝方面很弱, 我都好驚喜收到信.
2ND IN 2選1, 真係要好好祈禱. 因為現今的小朋友個個都好叻.
唔知2ND IN 係主要見父母定係會再考小朋友既學術既呢?

雖曾有人對學校對 profilio 要求得吴清吳楚而憤慨 (双面, 單面之類....)
亦有人因 covered playround 不開放公眾避日曬雨淋而不開心 或 提早到達而要等半個~1個小時而有微言.
我與小兒還是祈望有 2nd int.

我大伯的兒子在 DBSPD, 是 2008年那介.
他告訴我 interview board 有5人, 其中3人是主 (中小學校長+ 1 ??). 主要先問家長問題, 如女的先答, 就會男的有沒有補充. 無的話就先出去. 然後就剩下小朋友. 全程約 15 ~ 20 minutes.
但他說進入 2nd int 的小朋友會加 old boys或宗教分,所以机会不大, 低于 50%.

I am interested to know the kids have a chance for 2nd interview:
1. Any connection with the school?
2. Any religious background?
3. English or Chinese Kinder? and
4. Take any interview class outside the kinder?
Just want to verify with those rumours in BK. It helps parents of next year admission.

真的, 沒有宗教及 old boy分, 不過他及老婆也是 SMO (醫生).
當年考的是"七巧板", 然後自由配出圖形.

有2nd int 也不代什麼, 只是有啲点兒"幸運", 憑 "5分鐘"面試能看出什麼? 最後還是要2選1的. 可是, 我與小朋友會盡力的.
我的大女兒曾入讀一間 DSS, 但 P.2轉校到另一間女校. 您可試試介時插班試試去 DBSPD.

The one you said could be the extreme case. My sweet heart knows a lot of doctors. Most of them quited their job from public hoposital and worked outside for a medical center so that they can have more time to spend w/ the kids.
You're busy or not is really depend whether you're a private doctor or hospital authority's doctor. Plus how you want to definite your quality time & what you're looking for ?!
An example is a friend of my husband about being upset that she was at the XX hopstial.
She had to leave after waiting for an hour or 2.
Certainly, there are cases that the physician has poor management skills or may not have the ability to achieve closure of an office visit with patients. Perhaps, the practice has a poor scheduling system. In defense of medical offices, there are many reasons for physicians running late that are beyond the physician’s control and not the intention to create dissatisfaction to the patient.
The top one is due to the inception of managed care, physicians are forced to see more patients in a day. Physicians would prefer to spend more time with patients to make sure that the patient has the physician’s undivided attention and to create a relaxed atmosphere rather than one that is rushed.
Many physicians enjoy the teaching perspective and would prefer to educate their patients on prevention and/or management of their condition. Therefore, she decides to go ....
I don't think the doctor can give an remakable or extra marks to the kid. But I believe they key point is whether the kid is their cup of tea.
You get more of the behaviour you reward. You don't get what you hope for, ask for, wish for or beg for . You get what reward.
Don't anry w/ me if I said something that make feel uncomfortable. I have no intentsion to say anything to make you feel comfortable.
I'm not sure win even through my boy has the 2nd int. Just you know, I would try my best.
