P1 study P1 level yet the level of Eng is generally higher in terms of writing. And we have dictation, quiz and exam as well.

You can join ECA as you like. And learning an orchestral instrument is a must. You can learn in school or outside.

In general the kids are happy and enjoy school.

IB only for secondary S5, S6 and 30 kids only. Not for SSCPS

I recall the principal said in the briefing session that the primary school will not go for IB. Instead they are adopting an inquiry-based learning approach, which combines the merits of IB and traditional learning. The school has come up with this decision after careful study by experts. My boy is still awaiting the second in result. Pls share if anyone has update. Thanks a lot. {:1_1:}

應該只出了兩輪收生信。
第一輪主要是有關係如有sibling讀緊的。
第二輪大約11月26號那星期收到信的，應該是12月3日那星期註冊的。
很多人還未收到信，正在等。

Some ppl without relation got offer at the first batch, read from the post here...and I called on 3rd Dec, the staff said most of the offer letters r sent(he used the term 大部份)..so i better be prepared for reject letter tmw ...hope there is miracle!!

We have 2nd in and received waiting-list also, '平常心' to think we live in far Kowloon side both school and we require to consider the long traveling time if still suitable to the kids. So, good luck to all your kids and esp. those who live in HK east side.

Yes I think the school arrangement is not fair.
Also, if they only observe the kids during 2nd in, they can simply arrange an individual interview with the kid. While parents are talking, most kids will feel bored which is absolutely normal. My son just sits quietly reading his book.
Won't they expect the kids will pay attention to the adult conversation?

Checked with the School who said all letters have been sent out. We can give them a ring to check after the holiday if no letter is received.

True. I believe some of the accepted kids may withdraw at later point so they want to make allowance for a big pool of waiting list.. The school wont know yet how many kids will withdraw

Given:
1. There is NO offer given to those kids who have attended the second interview.
2. Wait list letters are received by those kids who have NOT attended second interview.
3. There are reject letters issued.

Do u agree with me the following priority:
1st: Kids who were given Offers (no matter at what stage)
2nd: Kids with wait list letters WITHOUT attending second interview (because their kids are so great that no second interview is needed)
3rd: Kids with wait list letters after attending second interview (the purpose of the second interview is to secure their position in the wait list, the school ranks those kids behind those haven't attend second interview)
4th: Kids with reject letters.

If that be the case, would those parents who and whose kids have attended second interview and feeling "UNFAIR" feel better?

I don't believe SSCPS would act unfairly in whatever aspect.

You might be correct but just wondering if some kids are on waiting list without 2nd in then the school might as well issue wait list/ reject letters to all those who didnt get offer. Why waste time for 2nd in ?

I think the school just wished to keep the 'waiting pool list' bigger. You know, there must be kids withdraw later and the school would call the waiting list (especially after the Luck Draw in next June). Also, there must be kids in waiting list not accept the offer, so ...... if the school issued many rejection letters today, how can it offer them tomorrow....

I think it is a clever arrangement (for a private school). But HK people always say 'unfair' if unlike it ....

Nothing more than agree with you!

Appreciated all parents want to allocate their kids to the BEST school but is this the BEST for their kids? Wonder!

The schools are looking for their target kids no matter how well the kids' performance in the interview are.

All we, parents, should do is apply for various school for them to choose.

The rest shall be left to HIM.

Possible. If this is true, the parents who got 2nd in were a little bit fooled by the school and the arrangement.

It doesn't make sense that the school would spend valuable time to interview anyone in order to decide whether they are worthy to be put on the waiting list. I think the priority should be:

1st: those who got offer after 2nd interview;
2nd: those went for 2nd interview but no offer now, on wait list;
3rd: those without 2nd in but on wait list (to creat a bigger pool);
4th: those received rejection letter.
