I think flute and trumpet are the cheapest in wind family. clarinet too. and flute and trumpet are the highest pitch in their family and PPL know them a bit more.

for 10 year age, HK kids need to 呈分and PPL will quickly picK up an easy and cheap instrument to fight for extra 10 marks in music subject. they are never thinking about talent but to survive p5 and p6 only.

but do u recommend to let children learn both(eg flute+trumpet) ? my son my give up piano and switch to flute( G2 now ) and trumpet(G1 now) . He is around 9.
