Do you have a foreign passport? If you and your kid plan to go back to your country to work in the future, going to GSIS at kindergarten stage is fine. They do not teach any Chinese until later in primary. Still, Chinese is a third language after English and German. Without Chinese, it is difficult for your kid to flourish in the job market in Hong Kong in future. GSIS has good academic results because they admit many bright students from local elite schools in the secondary section. These students score the good results because they do a lot of private tutoring. I do not think such results can mainly be attributed to the teaching of the school.

Are you referring to GSIS? From my first hand information it's quite the contrary, their teachings are good and sophisticated. Bright students come from both sides so can't be generalised.
