對電腦科而言，Oxford、Cambridge 係最高水平；Manchester、倫大、Durham、Warwick、Birmingham、Bristol又係另一個水平；之後嗰啲又係另一水平。同水平既學校之間，差異唔大。

我揀cardiff year 1, 讀多過master,也是4年。回港讀master都得。
好過讀foundation好多。

我都會揀Year 1,不過Cardiff位於威爾斯，同倫敦生活環境不同，除非好鐘意大自然。

Though the ranking of both universities are quite different, from my experience, both universities seem NO difference to HK employers. Also, as other parents said it, may do a Master afterwards.
Of course, Oxbridge are different

Apart from the ranking, you may need to compare the course contents. Some universities focus very much on maths (e.g. Manchester), while some focus on physics (Sheffield). If your child is strong and interested in only one of them, then you will need to read the course contents before making a decision.
CS stresses on practical experience and therefore the likelihood of placement or getting an intern during the summer should be considered as well.

Then the performance in the University matters, i.e. whether you could get a 1st honour or 2-1

借題一問，用中五成績去英國讀foundation有無著數？

假設目標：University of Exeter／University of Bristol

我諗到呢條路個唔好處係無哂公開試成績。。。

若以他日留英發展計，公開試成績係咪好重要呢？

（即係有學士學位但沒有任何公開試成績）

除非打政府工或者從事教育需要中學學歷證明，否則應該只會睇 Year 1 開始嘅工作經歷同最終畢業成績。

個著數就只係快人一兩年畢業，避開左公開試，但要諗埋萬一入唔返 Year 1 可以點樣行。

有 Year 1 讀 Year 1，因為 touch wood 第一年唔適應或者有大事，Foundation 升唔返上去 Year 1，條路就完全唔同左。Year 1 升 Year 2 要求通常都只係要求合格（40% 或以上），而且大部份 course Year 1 成績唔計落 degree，所以呢段唔適應考得唔理想都唔會有大問題。

排名冇意思，一個高分啲可能只係學生評分高啲、男女比例理想、教學大樓新，面積大，收好多國際學生，入讀門檻高等等，同畢業生質素、教學質素冇必然關係。英國本地對兩間大學一樣，香港就更加一樣，唔會分到明顯高低。

Nevertheless, not too easy to get a decent job in UK.
