I agreed with both Ben2003 and ChiChiPaPa.  We
are all very greedy.  We want Ben2003's result and
like ChiChiPaPa's way of raising our children.  I'm
quite sick of "training" my children like a racing
horse.  It's quite funny, after all these years
"pushing" and "training", "winning" is somehow
not guaranteed.  However, can I afford not to
follow the mainstream?  So, I adopt something
in the middle at the moment.  Just like ChiChiPaPa,
I'm more concern with my children's ability in
languages instead of focusing on getting a place
in my "dream" school.  After school activities and
competitions attended are for improving their
confidence but not as a way of getting (a chance)
into my "dream" school.

我個人的睇法是時間和其它資源一樣，是有限的。除了其本需要外，即返學、吃喝、休息和睡眠以外，剩下來的都是孩子可運用的時間。這部份若然只用作學術和非學術能力培養，就有點兒功利了。其 ...
