Then you should list all your key criteria so others can help. Now you simply mention Chinese (look at the title) and ask if certain school is good, then everyone can only focus on Chinese. What you get is therefore not what you want.

It seems to me you are not happy with DC. Choosing DC for year 1 is not a good choice since all your year 2 and beyond options are traditional Chinese. My opinion is, unless there is a strong reason, it is never a good idea to change schools frequently.

Where do you live? Your schools are all over HK.

Your requirements of student mix and good Chinese language are almost contradictory. Language is something best learnt in the right environment. If there are more non local Chinese, eg Caucasian, the learning of Chinese language will not be as good.
You have to make up your mind.

You shouldn't be perplexed, you should just make up your mind what are the most important attributes of a school.

RC and DC operate similar IB curriculum (although one teaches simplify and the other teaches traditional Chinese). Parents here suggest that RC has a much better Chinese not because of the curriculum, but because of the "student mix". Because there are a lot of HK local Chinese in RC.

As I said student mix and Chinese don't usually go hand in hand, you have to decide for yourself which is more important for you. Once you clear up your mind, it is much easier to make decisions.

They both operates IB curriculum with Chinese streaming. There may be other subtle differences but I doubt many people here have the experience and knowledge to advise you on these finer points and compare the two.

However, my kid improved a lot in English after he got into DC, because most of the students are foreigners.

As a PIS, DC has to have 70%+ HK residents. May be some of these foreigners are also HK residents?
