Simple answer, in parents mind.

I never see an elite school claimed that are 名校..... only parents ........

被坊間統稱為傳統名校或香港名校或名校

The wiki link is just one definition of 名校. This definition has also been used multiple times by Chiu Sir.

I just said others claimed those grant schools as 名校....... Not the schools themselves....... 名校 only in parents mind, not the kids....

Never mind, I know the history of grant school. In the few months, I chased the history of DSS, also very interesting, original objective was pleased the left-wing schools, now more focus on traditional 名校.....
