Can you read Chinese?  You may go to "小一選校" to collect more information for your son's next year primary one application.  

You can see the competition for  P1 admission this year is so keen that it is completely disadvantage for your son  apply to be a Chinese stream student in next year. My sister in law's son just failed the interview.  Her family background is very similar as yours.  She regrets that she didn't apply her son as French stream student. So I advice you try French stream application next year, may be the successful chance will be a little big higher.

"遊學團" P4 to P6, 只係 HK$17,000到 (不包機場稅), 暑假去英國同法國, 11日. organizer是翠明假期. 對家長來說, 無論是否參加, 都算是驚喜!

關於寫英文journal, 我都想提下, 由剛入學時, 仔仔只是一句起兩句止, 而家可以寫好多, 而且完全不用問我地spelling, 看完他做好的journal, 我都好感意外,  不知是否學校有教phonic, 他的spelling進步得好快.

而中文的"童言"相同, 他很喜歡又畫又寫的感覺, 而且中文老師好懂鼓勵小朋友, 次次派發, 仔仔好雀躍想看老師對他文章的回應.

在升中forum見你大仔搵緊中學, 可否分享下經驗, 如果小朋友在校成績一般, 考果d 劍橋, 倫敦英文試有冇用.

我教書的朋友說最緊要看interview時的能力和表現. 此類試可以不考, 你有什麼意見?

其實heidi媽你大女成績o.k. 真係不要浪費, 可以搏間好的.  問多d經驗家長如何做排位次序. 我曾聽一位認識家長說個仔是band 1尾, 但排前三都是top學校, 結果派去一間排得好後的學校. 最後唯有到處叩門, 入了一間band 2直資讀住先.  同校的另一小朋友成績唔好, 一開始就到處報band 2 英文直資, 反而有幾間收. 所以我地做家長的升學策略真係非常重要, 壓力頗大.

想澄清提及的兩位小朋友小學不在油尖區.


yiuyiu2000, 直資英小程度同能力不是間間一樣, 有些雖活動多, 程度亦不遜於津貼小學, 而且正如去觀校時某中學校長同我講, 我地英小畢業的學生, 沒有英文銜接上的問題, 在佢地的英中適應得好好. 我不會介意是傳統或直資中學, 最主要要睇自己小朋友的能力可以入什麼學校, 而會在這些範圍內細心做出選擇.

我的小朋友只係四年班,所知的有限, 希望其他高年班家長可以上來回應.

很明日你的concern. 我想升中同升小一樣, 大多小朋友都需要適應期去調適, 如果本身個底唔差, 個小朋友又肯努力, 適應了新的教學模式, 問題就不大了. 我在tsl 認識一位家長, 她的大女5年班才回流返港, 在另一小學讀書, 個小朋友好上進, 中學考入了一傳統女校, 班中競爭大, 雖然都呻"中史好難, 但都算跟到. 我想小朋友性格好重要,如小朋友性格上是不能定承受壓力型, 而且會影響情緒的話,太摧谷的學校可能就不適合了.  小女的性格比較脆弱, 假如她成績有進步而可以考入傳統top學校的話, 我都會衡量功課量, 壓力與老師的包容度來決定. 始終我地不會將學校名氣作決定的把尺.還有兩年時間, 可能會有變化, 到時再review, 我會因應情況而做決定!

升中教會學校好似大多唔睇宗教分. 如你有心儀的中學, 不妨打電話去問問.

Sorry,  typo error , Campus TV should be at Level 3.  I am not there but just recommand parents and kids go there have a look.

I will be hanging around with my boy in school for whole afternoon. Some of my friends who interest in TSL will also go there.  See you all on Saturday.

I hope I look like 35 but my husband looks like 60+.  Man looks young will give wife a hard feeling. That's why I stop my husband to use my expensive face creams.  He is allowed to use OLAY only.

去了2個短程叉電. 所謂:"讀萬卷書不如行萬里路", 趁假期比小朋友行多D, 見多D, 思考多D, 希望refresh下他們的腦袋, 不要太懶散!

你覺得送小朋友去CHINA少林寺學功夫的IDEA如何? 有朋友建議. 當然他的兩個女兒試過, 兩姐妹在少林寺住了一個月學習, 她們親身同我講了經歷, 聽落真是很好的方法磨練意志, 學習刻苦同堅強. :D

Re.:少林寺. The trip is on next week.  Kids will go with me this time.

RE.: Primary one Application.  Think twice before you send the application form.    If I were you, I would definately pick French stream.

今晚打老虎!

幾時interview呀! 當年仔仔interview時, 我早了成個鐘到達現場,比佢在學校的 playground走動觀察和看壁報. interview完後, 他對我說他對學校己很了解, 因在壁報上看到學校有各種不同的活動, 他對很多都感興趣.  當日他的情緒相當好!

我想早些到現場讓孩子了解學校的環境是好的, 你可以參考一下
