My son is also p.1. I heard from the p1Briefing, Mrs. Pau had mentioned that the 1st test will not be included in the exam. marks, but I'm not quite sure.
Why don't you try to send an e-mail to your son's class mistress to re-confirm it (as it is not too late now, maybe she can reply you tonight!)
