想問問，如想apply Imperial College 既biological science, a level 應考3科定4科？

照理3科就得，因為一般conditional offer都衹係標明3科成績，當然科目要同大學選科有關

My daughter actually got the CO few days after the email. She needs to attain A* in chemistry in A level.

雖然要到八月中先知讀邊間，但已經用首選大學訂咗機票，八月先要比錢，還好英國大學會在十月頭先開學，聖誕假又比一般中學早放，應該無咁緊張。

我個女仲未考完，每科考三分卷，頭一分話淺過之前的卷，但第二分就唔同，佢有的做唔到，而家好驚達唔到標，所以第三分好大壓力，直情瞓唔到覺，我地唯有安慰佢盡咗力就得，由而家到8/17都唔容易過。

阿仔本來都想報Cambridge 嘅Na ...

我個女嘅CO係指定三科A*A*A，呢個都係佢地一般對Science嘅CO，所以一有小小失手就好大壓力，不過考公開試就係咁，有好多因素影響。

Good luck to your son's application this coming year! It is definitely a stressful but rewarding experience.

How about the CO from Imperial? Is it less harsh?

Imperial CO was A*AAA but Chem must achieve A*.  So my daughter has dropped Imperial at the end.

Edinburgh. She got offers from UST and HKU but on Business. So both declined as she isn't going for the business field now.

Because for chemistry, she only goes for uk university but she wanted to test out herself in the local universities by applying to the more competitive course. So she applied to UST & HKU.  Yes, interesting thought.

If it is a near miss, university will consider ur case by looking at the raw score. However, you need to ask yr son's school to help. My daughter already recieve communication info about the process of near miss case. Like Poonseelai said, call university and ask yr school to help.

A level成績會喺8/17英國時間早上九時有得睇，即係香港下午三點，不過我記得你個女讀pre-U，係咪都係同一時間有成績？

I guess your daughter got through. That's great.  Congratulation!  Did u get the result from ucas track? My daughter was told the earliest time she will know is 8am UK time which is still an hour away.  So wonder how yr daughter got the result.

UCAS Track opened earlier today. Status is updated. My daughter met her CO. She is so happy. Good luck everyone!

Natural Sciences but she will major in chemistry.

亞女話好忙，的野好深。佢每星期除上堂外仲有lab，每個lab四至五個鐘，仲要寫report，又有supervision，星期六都要返學，加上佢個college距離主campus遠，中間有空檔都祇可以去cafe或圖書館溫習，都鄧佢辛苦。琴晚同佢傾電話，佢話而家係第一年學生嘅Week 5 blue，好多同學都一樣。還好仲有唔夠一個月就放假，到時返香港同佢食多啲野開心吓。
