I will send my daughter to YMCA International Kindergarten for K1 this September, any parnets same here?

first choice is singapore international school, but i know it is not easy to be admitted

I live in Shatin now.  I thought about moving to HK side so as to get closer to SIS if admitted.  However, after studying the school bus route of SIS, i found that the time for getting on to the school bus is not worse than many places in HK side, so it is all depending on whether it is the first or the last stop of the route.  

So i decide to apply for SIS also.

i think no la....too expensive for me
i like SIS because it is relatively strict among international schools and i always like bilingual schools.
My daughter is now studying in a bilingual international kinder.  i found it works very well as they can really learn very fast!

You cannot choose which esf school you like, you have to enrol for the one within your residential catchment area.  You can check out the catchment area in esf's website.

We also got the offer from KBCK, but finally decided to go for YMCA, which offers more facitilies and have full time class for K2.

Do you know anything about AISHK as i am also interested in this school as its location is convenient to us and i know that it also offers some mandarin class.  Any good or bad comments about this school?  Many thanks.

Woudl you mind to share what made you pick AISHK as your target school?
As AISHK also offers Reception Class which starts from their 4 yrs old...will you consider jumping to the Reception Class or you are aiming at their primary?

Thanks for your reply.  My daughter is also Aussie passport holder and we are also planning to send her back to Aust for tertiary education.  So our main reason for picking AISHK is the same!

Do you know about their Chinese standard and discipline?  Apart from AISHK, SIS is also my target school, as it is bilingual and students there are disciplined.  I understand that AISHK's chinese class will not be as strong as those in SIS, but do you know about the chinese standard in AISHK anyway?

If the Chinese standard and discipline in AISHK is not bad, i will prefer AISHK as its location is much more convenient to us.

do you know if YMCA has any close connection with ESF? heard that ESF will send some staff to YMCA to observe the students before the interview, is that true?
