請問有去簡介會的家長,今年面試分幾多日考同埋用什麼形式?

係玩攤位形式去玩.
普英數記憶體能

個仔話好好玩. 其實d題目唔淺. 個仔就考得麻麻地. 佢自己計到自己分數係38/50. 50係總分. 衰左記憶個項目.祝未考o既好運.

我個仔講到好輪盡.

好似佢地每一個小朋友攞張分紙, 去到每一個攤位玩完老師比一個分. 唔知係唔係我個仔講錯, 考記憶係成廿分, 比例較重. 全部玩完總分係50分.
都玩成個幾鐘.
小朋友覺得好好玩, 但我見中途有小朋友落返來. 無跟大隊玩晒.

份問題好簡單, 大約10條問題, 大部份係mc, 問你點知佢地呢間學校, 仲有報邊間學校, 覺得小朋友o既邊幾方面重要d, (有幾個choice俾係揀, 例如自信心, 健康, 知識, 正面思想 etc ....), 知唔知佢地收o左就要放棄派位等等, 另外有兩條open question, 問小朋友o既優點同要多加協助o既地方.

面試時間就係o係你交form o既時候安排埋, 我23/8交form, 8/9面試. 我個大仔前兩年都有報smc, 不過就reject o左, reject信係大約面試後一個月內已"掛號信"寄俾我o既. 而另外我有個friend個女就面試後兩個星期度收電話安排second in, second in 完即時confirm offer.

I also under pressure since June. My son has interviews for two other DSS, one is waitlist & the other one still waiting for the second-in call.

We know that St. Margaret is difficult to entry but just let my son an experience. I will a private school in Oct, I think the chance will a bite higher.

I am very worried and nervous now. As the other parents, I am worired that my girl would not be accepted by any schools. ><

根據前兩年O既經驗, 有2ND IN O既差不多等如收你, 2ND IN 只係學校同你解O下佢地O既教學方式.

我諗大部份家長都擔心考唔到學校或派得唔好, 緊張係難免, 可以O既話盡量唔好影響小朋友, 等佢可以面試O既時候表現好D. 祝大家心想事成!

想番起舊年，我心情同你地一樣，但我個仔本身幼稚園有直上小學，唸住萬一無一間直資收，都係讀番私小。SMC 喺安排面試方面做得幾好，我一遞表即安排1st in，1st in 當日仔仔同一批約八個小朋友一組去面試，約45分鐘後，其他小朋友就落番嚟，但我又唔見個仔，心唸唔通佢過唔到關，又唔通唔識答，所以攪咁耐。之後等多30分鐘佢就番落嚟。聽佢講都好似幾好玩，無乜壓力嘅面試。不過講真，我當時都無寄望有2nd in. 大約10日後，有電話通知有2nd in，我仲同老公講2nd in 要同校長用英文面試喎，個仔英文麻麻，去唔去好呀？老公話嘅然個仔咁努力去1st in爭取，點解唔去2nd in? 如是者，我地抱着平常心去2nd in, 結果約兩個禮拜後，我地收到取錄信。
經此次後，我發覺我做家長的，要相信自己孩子嘅能力，有時小孩子的潛力係意想不到的。

Understood your feelings.

Last year, ~2 weeks after the 1st interview, we got the call for 2nd interview. And ~1 month after the 2nd interview, we got the acceptance letter. From last year's response, it's about half chance to be accepted after the 2nd int.

I believe in my boy, but he was the group only ended up in 1st interview last year, no step further...

我淨係幫個仔報考O左SMC一間直資, 因為我只考慮報英文+一條龍學校, SMC 係唯一一間合適O既學校. 之不過我諗佢成功O既機會都唔高, 因為太多人爭同佢講O野甩甩CUT CUT~~~ 如果唔得就疊埋心水讀哥哥O個間O勒!

Don't be afraid. As the kids are interviewed in a group during the first interview, they should be less nervous and less "甩甩CUT CUT".

Yes, you will know the result no matter it is successful or not. I think all schools would do that.

You can choose one DSS at last.

But 放棄埋統一派位的機會, means no free school.

Do not be "a school collector".
It is a bad parent.

If the best & loved school accepted, plesae release all un-used seat to other.

I don't think you can accept all DSS. You must choose one only. However, private schools have no limitation.

我都希望每人只可accept一間直資offer, 只可惜..... 依家冇人會check邊個學生accept o左邊幾間直資, 只要你肯俾留位費, 你係可以一直到開學都hold住個位..... 反而私校會知道邊d confirm o左 offer o既申請人繼續玩大抽獎, 有權cancel佢個位o家~~~

Technically yes. For DSS and private school offers your son received, you can register them all. (Note that individual school may even warn the parents that they will cancel their child's seat once they knew in whatever means that the candidate has took up other school's offer.)

Yet, please be considerate as we all understand how we feel while waiting for an offer. Once decided to take a new offer, please do release the previous offer timely by informing the related school explicitly instead of no show until next Jun or even Sep.

Hope we all can do the same to help each other.
