My boy is interested in ball games, I wanna choose the one that he likes but at the same time, 認受性較高.  What do you think of the following more popular ball games in HK?  Which one is more popular / widely recognized in HK primary schools?

Rugby
Table Tennis
Basketball
Badminton
Soccer

If going to high school in overseas countries in Canada and Australia, which ball games are better in terms of 認受性 .

Many Thanks.

每項球類運動,都有它的基本動作,而且基本動作都不離身體與眼部的協調,適量的體能訓練,萬變不離其中,從 ...

Really big thanks for your comments in such detail.  I also appreciate the benefits of sports just as you mentioned, esp. you mentioned about eyesight.  Playing sports under sun is particularly beneficial for their eyes.
I hope my son would choose 1 team sport (building team spirit, sportsmanship) and 1 individual sport.

My boy just finished a sport camp this week.  He mentioned he liked golf, bowling and basketball...... ha ha, at least he seems to start to enjoy the fun of playing sports.

Cheers.

But the most important point is your boy's interest!! If he loves it, he will do his best.  So let him try whatever he is interested in. My son likes rugby very much since he first joined the summer program three years ago.  He keeps attending Sunday training every week. Now he attends table tennis (summer only) and badminton (weekly).   But he says no to swimming.

ssaang :

My boy also doesn't like swimming as much as he plays rugby, this summer is his first time playing rugby, and will continue with it on Sundays starting Sept.  I also think that their interests are essential.  I am planning to let him try out different sports as he's still in K3 which allows him to have more free time to try.

BTW, a side question for you, hope that you may give me a little more idea since your boy has been playing Rugby for some time.  Were there many girls in U9/10 playing in your boy's club?  I'm still considering whether I should let my girl join in.  I'm afraid that it would be tough and the actions are too rough.

thanks

"He mentioned he liked golf, bowling and basketball"

I didn't take my boy's words seriously, he's still in the stage of playing and exploring.  I do want to let him try basketball when he enters P1, that's when more team sports begin to emerge.  I chose Rugby for him at this point in time because he has no interests in football, also Rugby is one of the sports in HK that run mini-clubs for his age and have been well established, and relatively easier to kick start...kids need to catch, grab and then run...............  I do hope Rugby does help him in playing other sports in the future.

My girl actually is on HKFC's U9/U10 list for the upcoming season, but still yet to pay.  I am holding the payment as I'm still yet to make the decision.

Web  U9/U10 要打 tackle, 對於該些女孩子(或家長)來說確不易接受, 但若能捱過去, 會覺得好好玩啊!  發表於 12-8-20 00:51
