Well, well, I think you would know more about him and his methodology after you did the first assessment.  He used his expertise to describe your kid's problems and you could judge whether his comments are right or wrong.  The most important considerations are that,

1. Whether you have the time, money and effort for the afterwards trainings; and
2  If you determined to try the trainings, you need to think whether you continue the other therapies like speech / occupational therapies or not, and need to know whether there are contradictions between them.
3.  Whether you buy his thoughts or not.

It'a not a "one minute change" and time and effort must need, and the results might take time.
