My daughter is also admitted to P.2 in coming school year.  I have read some of your posts here and feel that the parents here are really nice.   

BTW, anyone knows whether there is school bus/nanny bus service from Shatin/FoTan?

Nice to know your little girl is going to the same class as my daughter.  May I ask your daughter's help to keep an eye on Chloe when the new school year starts?  She is so excited yet worried about going to the new school without any friends.  But I told her I have the feelings that the MCS girls should be very well-mannered and nice.  I hope she can cope.

Is there going to be a P.2 parents meeting on 26 Aug?  I don't know anything yet because we have been left for vacation before the registration date and not yet got back to Hong Kong.  All the materials and stuff are still with my mother who helped to handle the registration.  Great! Cannot wait to meet you all there.

My little girl will be taking the Shatin school bus route from Sep 2010.  If I remember correctly, you mentioned that your little girl is on the same school bus.  Is that right?  Do you know why the school bus need to take one hour to get to/from school? Is the service okay? Do they have seat belts?  Sorry for asking you so many questions. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your reply.  I think we will still try the schoolbus because the nanny bus need to change bus at some point.  Sounds dangerous to me.  

Hi All,
I have also ordered all the out-of-stock books from 齡記 but they told me only 7 out of the 14 books I have ordered are ready for collection.  I hope they could all be ready before school starts.  I passed by Wai Fat today and seen a long queue outside. It seems that all the parents are so busy buying the missing books for their kids.

mmak is right.  My daughter asked me to write a note to the music teacher.  The teacher has then given us a form for the Music Festival to fill in and return with the app. fee.
So, if you want to apply via the school, you just have to write a note to the teacher.

Yes, I just wrote the app form request on a piece on paper and stapled it to the handbook. The homeroom teacher removed it the next day (maybe you can ask your girl to show it to the teacher).  We then got our form back from the music teacher the next music lesson.  fyi, the specified deadline on the note attached with the form from the school is 8 Oct 2010.  Hope this helps.

I think every parent may have different reasons for their children to participate in the Music Festival.  For me, I just see Music Festival as a chance for my girl to play in front of an audience.  As this requires a lot of daily practice and courage, I hope this would have positive effect on her self-confidence.  But I am just new here. Hope other moms could shed you more light on other benefits from joining the Music Festival. Cheers.

Yes.  My girl has also borrowed a book from the morning reading session on Monday.  But the opening time is only from 7:15-7:40.

My girl said she can wear winter uniform after the Sports Day but the Nov is the official schedule for changing into winter uniform. So, I let her wear winter uniform this morning.  Not sure if that is really the case.

My little girl told me they will have Reading Task on Wed on a reader that the teacher let them read at school only. I think we don't have to do any preparation. Can anyone reconfirm whether this is really the case?
