樂基的英文有點怪

Hi! 你 reading scheme 讀緊咩 level 呀？

有7個 levels 架，如果你覺得太淺，不如揾老師商量吓？我上兩年都有寫過紙仔俾老師，一年得一年唔得。不過我幾鍾意今年套書喎，阿女平時唔睇 non-fiction books，依家就一定要讀 D fact books。自己再加其他深D嘅故事書囉。

老師今次寫話遲D 會升 level, 唔知係咪睇到 forum D feedback?  

又唔知係咪我地好彩，上星期嗰本教 body parts, 今日本教 night animals, 學到生字亦學到知識，我覺得好過 New Reading 360.

呢類啱幼稚園生睇嘅 fact books 圖書館唔多，我唸過買類似嘅 Alphakids, 不過真係好貴，反而 Rainbow Magic, Magic Tree House, Oliver Moon, Cam Jensen 等故事書大把任借，唔駛靠學校喎。

出年學校再買邊套書都唔關我地事，不過如果學校轉番 New Reading 360 我會覺得可惜…

以前本長既綠色既phonics響weekend帶返屋企,係要諗好多同類既字,但係而家好似次次都係任你寫既,咁好似冇意思囉.

任寫咩？我嗰班要寫 l, -ll, -le, -ss 喎？

你可以對吓，佢未必啱。

老師話唔限寫幾多版，多 D sounds 可以寫多 D 架。
第一本 phonics 書係溫番上年教過嘅 (上星期張 memo 講), 快 D run through 咗佢，再教新嘢，仲好啦！

又或者好似我個大仔，佢上過 D 口才班，都係無乜用。反而 build up 吓 D 自信心同整到佢 high high 地會好 D.

Hi Fatbmama! build up 自信要時間，我地送咗阿哥入間多讚賞，比較活的小學，讀咗半年佢 D 正能量多咗，講嘢唸嘢都唔同咗。比較內斂嘅小朋友讀傳統學校可能會變隱形人。

Short term method 就係臨比賽狂讚佢，狂玩一輪等佢 high D, 都有幫助。有D 小朋友食幾粒朱古力會情緒高漲 D, 好似大人飲咗咖啡咁，呢招我地都用過！

Hi Cow1303! I am no expert in phonics. Just searched from the internet:

"The Jolly Phonics program teaches five basic skills for reading and writing. The five basic skills are all taught at the same time throughout the programme.

The 42 main sounds of English are introduced first. Children learn each letter by its sound, not its name (for instance ‘a’ is learnt as it is heard in ‘ant’, not ‘ai’ as in ‘aim’). The sounds are not introduced alphabetically, but are in seven carefully-selected groups. The first group (s, a, t, i, p, n) can be combined to create the largest number of simple three-letter words. Letters that are easily confused, like "b" and "d", are presented in separate groups."

This is just one example. If you do a search yourself, you will find that different centres have different sequences. Hope this helps!

Hi Era! I also think it's something new. Seems like the kids have to spell words this year.

They have to dictate Chinese words too. Our class teacher gave out some magnets last week to those who got full marks! :funny:

Actually... what word list? you mean the ones in the blue/purple booklet or do they have a separate sheet?!

About the Chi dictation, maybe your class hasn't done it yet? Revision week actually only starts today. Don't worry la!

哦，學校本藍色書仔有架。佢地 Ｄ vocab 有 Ｄ 係跟 topic 教， 有 Ｄ 就跟 phonics sounds。
Climate 那個 module 教咗 temperature, typhoon signals etc.

阿妹話有教過，不過 revision sheets 上嘅公仔就同教時唔一樣。

都估唔到學校最終要求D咩，兵來將擋啦！

啱問完，阿妹係唔識 contribution 嘅！不過佢都識 D 古靈精怪字，鍾意睇書嘅小朋友，真係會學埋學埋好多字。
我又唔會教佢地：＂呢個淺呀，你記啦！呢個深呀，大個至學啦！＂有得學梗係學咗先。我 F4 時有次派 Bio 卷，阿 Sir 走嚟問我，都無教過，點解你會識 anaemia 呢個字？我又真係唔知係睇咩睇番嚟。我之前發現阿仔識好多動詞嘅 past tense, 我問佢係咪老師教？佢話係我教嘅！原來佢細個我同佢讀書好多口，讀完 go, 我會講 go went gone 呀；讀完 write 我會送句 write wrote written。 小朋友記性好，聽得多就記咗，識用。
我係全職媽媽，分唔到好多時間俾阿妹，佢想睇書要靠自己。之前佢用哥哥本小學字典，上星期投訴搵唔到 D 字，結果我地買咗本磚頭字典俾佢。
我地眼中，字係分為識嘅同未識嘅；未識就學，學咗咪識囉。

學校係 assessment 前有 pre-assessment，甚至有 pre-pre-assessment 喎。阿妹話同一張 worksheet 會做兩三次，第一次有錯老師會再教，第二日再做，再錯、再教，第三日又再做。老師花咗好多心機精神教喎！同埋，唔係應該不停學不停温咩，明知會温唔切，點解唔早 D 準備？
