Dear all,
I met many autistic children in Dr Trodd's office and they got positive improvement after long-term B-12 injection.  The child may get a bit hyperactive at the beginning, but he will be back to normal afterwards.  I tried it in January in this year and gave up after 4 injections as my child got crazy at that time.  As I find that it really has good effects to many children, I have determined to take it.  My child takes the injection at home twice a week.  According to the article, some children may take B-12 injection for more than 2 years.  Parents must prepare for this.

My protocol is NEVER GIVE UP!!!

My child had taken oral form B12 for several months without any improvement.  He then took B12 injection afterwards.  After 1 month B12 injection, my child seems 'smarter' than before.  B12 injection may be taken for more than two years.  I have struggled for several months about taking B12 injection or not.  However, after weighting the cost and benefit of taking the injection, I determine to let my child take it even for more than two years.

My son had got Nystatin for one year.  Although the progress is slow, it is safe.

I visited Dr. Trodd yesterday and requested high dosage B-12 from him.  His immediate reply was 'high dosage B-12 must be taken in his clinic for safety sake'.  As it is inconvenient to take B-12 injection in his clinic twice a week, I therefore take the low dosage one.  According to some B-12 articles, low dosage B-12 may not bring out significant effect.  Although my son has shown improvement since taking B-12 for two months, I am not satisfied with the progress.  To me, the quicker the progress, the better.

With reference to Dr. Neubrander’s protocol (the innovator of B-12 injection), 25 mg/ml methyl-B12 can demonstrate the best improvement.  My child is taking the low dosage one which is less than 25 mg/ml.

Dr. Trodd insists on giving me the mild take-home dosage as he mentions that 25mg/ml may be a bit dangerous to take at home.

For my child's situation, 1ml 只有 25mg 的 b12, 打一支 0.25ml 的 B-12 只有6.25 mg/ml.   This dosage is far from the standard level.

Dr. Trodd does not explain to me clearly.  I guess it should be quite difficult for laymen to inject 25 mg at home due to longer time.   

If Dr. Lam really prescribes the high dosage B-12, I will visit him next time.

Agree with Kawai.  I may send my boy to Dr. Trodd's clinic to take the high dosage B-12 and examine whether there is any significant improvement or not.

Do you think that we can order B-12 from the web?  If we can order, I will take the injection myself to experiment how dangerous it is.
