想到外國讀書一問?

I would suggest you to figure out what kind of status you enter to US and how you are going to maintain your status in US legally, before you think about finding the school.
Do you know which state you are going?
The living cost? do you have a driving license?
Can your children able to communicate in English? how do they think about to study overseas?
How you are going to get the F1 visa for your children as you are not green card holder or citizen?
As they don't have a legal status. you need to find school for them ahead, to get the F1 visa.
Where you can get that school to sign the I-20 for you?
I believe that you are going to find the private/catholic school.. beside the school fee, you have to bare in mind that there is a lot of subsitution every month.
Every state/city/boro has good school.. so you better know where you are going .. then you can go and search for it.
beside.. not just to prepare your children to go, you better prepare yourself as well. that is not easy at all. some states have flooding, some has snow, some are very windy.. US is not a very nice place.. you can't find a place with the weather like Hong Kong, not too cold in winter, too hot in summer, and less natural disaster.
Grade 2 and Grade 4.. very young.. and wish that you do tell them ahead.. to make sure that they wish to do so (come to US to study).

you may try to ask 大豬既老婆 for help, as she is an expert to find agency and school.
However, I would remind you the same thing.
you need to figure out how you can get a visa and you can legally stay in US with no problem, before you plan the studies for your children in US.

P.S. New York is not a good spot.. Do not choose new york, or you will feel very disappointed unless your children are gifted and talented or you are very rich.

I am currently living in New York, my elder daughter (5)is a gifted, she is attending the gifted and talent school from NY city wide kindergarten class at Nest+M  @ Manhattan. My younger son (almost 2) is a reverse.. he is a development delay (speech) and he is at the day care in staten island, and will soon on the early intervention program.
It is very helpful to have support in US, if your kids need extra help, unfortunately, I used all the service in some points..
to send them to overseas.. do you mean.. to send them back to hk? I believe that I will not do that.. dept of education will not take care of my children. Gifted child for them--- equal to naughty, developmental delay -- equal to stupid.
I don't want any body to label my children.
I want someone who can treat them as a person, not a ball.

I believe.. your concern is.. about how your kid to cope with the English speaking environment..right?
I would say that 12th Grade.. between --mature and inmature.
and it will be never too late to study overseas..
I went to Australia for my BSN on my 21-22 years old. and I knew that I was not mature enough to deal with everything, as the environment in HK.. we (kids) are well-protected. we need to learn how to survive without our parents around.
