I think Kids will discuss such at school. We should give confidence to kids that she/he is no worse than others.
I never tell my kid the results either success or fail, in case he ask me any results yet, I will just tell him that school will call the kid for 2nd interview by batch, so still have chances until next September. Always try the best is fine.
