Another sharing.

Good Academic result will not be guaranteed by a Good School. Individual student's effort may be the most significant factor. For example, some student not studying in a very "good" school can also get very good public exam. results.

It may be better not to give too much pressure on GT G11 students & also the teachers.

I think good track record of academic result from GT will be established eventually.

Dear acmc,

Just my personal sharing.

My kid is lucky to get GT offer for 2010-11 P1 admission. I trust my kid is smart (like most of the parents). My kid gets several offers but also gets some rejects.

My friend's kid is also very smart, but cannot get GT offer. Kid also gets a good IQ test result. Kid also have some offers and some rejects.

Therefore, getting offer from school is a gift.

Besides, I also attended the GT Secondary School briefing session in Nov and  talked with current secondary school students' parents and teachers. I am happy to know that many GT secondary school teachers are also experienced teachers in HK (taught other secondary schools in HK for a long time) and they also understand practicing several years' public exam. papers with time control, accuracy training, analytic skills development, etc is essential to get good public exam. result. They should have same understanding to my personal past experience. I think suitable academic, exam, etc trainings will be given to GT G10-12 students. Therefore, I think GT students can also perform good in public exam. if they are not lazy students.

For me, I am also attracted by the 簡介會既偉論 of 2 primary schools' principals.
One school is Y? and the other is L?...
However, I still tend to trust they are also good principals.

Besides, I like GT principal and I am reading his books about education.

We would like to know the number of subjects counted (e.g. Chi, Eng, Math, + 3 subjects?).
Whether A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 and E=1?

學校曾經同我地講過，估計今屆G11學生響今屆會考，大部份都應該可以攞14分或以上‧加上政府只批左30個G12學位比優才(因每間中學只有2/3學生可以直升該校F.6)， 所以會考要18分或以上，至可以直升G12, 校方估計出年未必可以 ...
