The problem with flash card method is, Doman derived a complete program.  Flash card is just one element.  He was not expecting people to use only one aspect of his program so vigorously without balancing a child's development by using other aspects of the program.  There is a possibility when a child is exclusively stimulated by flash cards without other elements to balance him, he will become reactive instead of active.
