Yes, received letter today, second interview Nov 14 pm, unrelated to the school

Seems like this year's second in format has changed again, as the letter said parents and child will be interviewed together.  I believe last year only parents were interviewed in 2nd round, and 3 pairs each time.

oh, by unrelated I mean parents not alumni and no sibling studying or studied there

The final results will only be announced in Jan 2012 so not to worry yet, they probably will have a long 2nd int process as still have lots of time.

Confirmed with a mommy with kids in SSCPS that the interview letters will be sent out in batches.  Actually many of my friends have not received them.

Also, for the ones that are interviewing early, it is possible that the admission letters will be sent out before Christmas, so no need to wait till Jan 2012.

Last year it was a group interview - 5 pairs of parents + the 5 kids all being interviewed together by a panel including the principal.  

Not sure if same this year, anyone can share?

Heard some lucky non-alumni and non-sibling just received offers

I heard from a friend that her girl had her 2nd int late last week (Thur or Fri, can't remember) and she received the school offer letter today so only 1 week after the 2nd interview

Unfortunately no offer.... yet....
Figured will wait till Monday if no letter then no hope :(

I like it because of its balanced curriculum (no crazy amount of homework and tests), language focus on both english and putonghua (I think English will always be very important so I want my kid to be good at it), pleasant school natural environment.

Just curious what are the negative things that you have heard about the school?

I also believe that it is actually a very good school with a long history, but more of a "niche" school and not often mentioned and not as popular mainly due to its location.  The HK$65k school fee is another factor.

I know of a couple of kids who are studying there and both of them are very street smart.

Many of my friends have applied to this school and so far only heard one offer, so there is still hope ah!!

Any other mommies received offers today?

Heard from a friend that usually the registration date is about a week after receipt of the offer letter.  Registration fee is $6,500.
