Most schools usually issue rejection letters very late, at the same time when they issue the acceptance letters.

My son had interview on 23/8 early afternoon, teacher did ask if anyone wanted to perform.

yes 5 teachers and 5 tabled in the room for the 5 kids one on one, thats when they were asked questions in all 3 languages
