So can I say in this way, if I want to study U in HK.
I have to join 3-3-4 course in the school. However if I want my kid to study abroad then I better join IB courses if available.
Please comment.

well, i think a more accurate position will be:
u should ve a relatively higher chance to enter local universities thr the New Senior Secondary (NSS) [i.e. the second "3" in your "3-3-4" course] as:
a) seats reserved for JUPAS should be more than non-JUPAS; and
b) the "supposed" comparatively higher competition in non-JUPAS
UNLESS IB will be considered as one of the selection criteria in JUPAS (which I personally ve some reservation given the extensive resources EDB and HKEAA used in the NSS.)
That said, one route thr the NSS can still apply for overseas universities. HKEAA has been working hard on seeking recognition of HK Diploma of Secondary Education from overseas universities. As far as I know, the result is quite promising. |
