我對kings都有認識，因為身邊讀過的人個個都對kings都讚不絕口。

我覺得kings不像其它名校般只著重學術成績，學生每天課後都上成個幾兩個鐘體育課，如連樂團就超過3個鐘，就算是會考的日子也如是，所以學生所剩的讀書時間會比其它只谷成績的名校少好多，不像一些名校到會考年一星期只上一堂體育課。

另外，kings上堂的地方很散，有時需穿過巿中心街道才到課室，所以你在kent時常見到kings的學生日間會在巿中心穿插。

Kings的師資優良，有3成多老師是oxbridge畢業，功課不會比香港少，而且考GCSE也只可one sitting, 唔可以分開考。kings的文科是很强的，英國的名校多是理科強過文科。

Kings學生的成績分成很多set上堂，只有頭幾set先可讀triple science, 其餘的只可揀combined science。讀書風氣當然是top set的學生好些。

友人的兒子當年在kings追得都幾辛苦不過對kings很有歸屬感，就算是唔洗學費的colchester royal grammar school year 12收了都唔轉校，認真難得。

Kings以往每年只收幾個香港學生，這幾年單是香港去kings讀的學生入到劍橋都有5至6人, 不過聞說kings今年收多咗很多香港學生, 你可問下AA或kings.

至於適唔適合讀kings很睇小朋友的性格和消唔消化到，因Kings太多活動，如小朋友時間管理唔好，讀到kings都未必一定有很好的成績。

但無論如何，Kings絕對是一間很全面幾谷對學生有葽求的好學校，雖然只是一時排名由37跌至108。

I trust that my friend’s son had brilliant academic result in Hong Kong otherwise he would not have been admitted by several boarding schools with very top rankings.


His parents gave up some offers of top notch schools since they believed that Kings provided excellent English speaking environment with only several Chinese students in each form and in the boarding house. Some elite schools such as Colchester Royal Grammar School might have over 50% Chinese in the boarding house.


My friend’s kid always aimed for the top set to manage sports, music and the academics thus he felt pressure in the studies.


I think every boarding school would assign a tutor to supervise students during prep time so it is up to the student to manage his time whether he would study or engage in other non-academic matters during the prep time.


For Year 9, students would normally study at least 12 subjects. You can imagine how busy the students are. For those sub-standard students, I think most boarding schools would require students to attend remedial class or individual tuition.

Phy : 70% A or above
Chem : 74% A or above
Bio : 64% A or above
Further Maths: 87% A or above
Maths: 63% A or above
