請問 fist interview 完幾時先會收到通知會 second interview ? 請問有無媽咪已收到信 / 電話叫你去 second interview ?

聽講一個月內會收到信通知

The school's practice for notification of application result is as follows:

- give you call to confirm the date of 2nd interview if your kid is accepted.

- send you normal letter if your kid is on the waiting list.

- send you registered letter if your kid is rejected.

But I am not sure the practice will change this year or not.

I always tell myself that I treat 2nd interview as a success already!
My son took the 1st interview yesterday. He told me that he did not understand what the english teacher asked, so I think he cannot have the 2 nd interview.

我囡囡今年已經小四啦, 我地果年係無2nd interview, 1st in 之後大概3星期左右就收到信. 近年學校改為2nd in, 其實都係見下家長, 大家交流一下, 等家長更加了解學校, 基本上2nd in 已經等於係收左.

唔知今年有無改變.

Don't give up. We never know what the school looks for during the interview. Perhaps you can call the school a week later to check the status.

My boy was accepted for 2008/08 P1. In that year, the 2nd interview was just a meeting with parents. The Vice Principal (Primary Section)would tell you what the teachers had observed on your kid in the 1st interview in context of strengths and weaknesses. They asked us a few questions about the kid in relation to what they had observed. That was a two way communications and the school took this as a chance for parents to understand / explore more the school -to facilitate your right decision.

I remembered the Vice Principal already had the offer letter on hand. By the end of the interview, she wrote my boy's name on the offer letter and asked us to revert in a week time.

我囡囡這三年的小學生活都是很愉快, 而且各方面都有進步, 特別係性格上佢主動左好多, 以前佢係好怕羞, 宜家佢好踴躍參加學校表演活動. 英文水平smc係唔錯, 其實中文同數學都係用緊同外面其他小學一樣既書, 所以程度唔會低過出面, 當然有d學校會讀高一級咁當然另作別論. smc近年係中文都加強左, 小三作文大概要寫150字.

我囡囡著裙呀 ! 囡囡話有外籍老師同佢傾計, 又有老師用普通話問問題, 要計數, 要做少少運動, 要寫自己個名喎 ! 佢interview左成65分鈡, 不過佢話好好玩喎 ! 家長要填一份問卷, 不過好簡單架, 無王錦輝個份問卷咁煩.

As what was in previous years, the school would give offer to kids which they thought fit for the school. Unlike other DSSs, they won't wait until the deadline, though the late applicants would also be considered. Hence, the earlier would be better.

不過frist interview我囡囡話考佢英文串字,用咭片砌番生字出嚟,分別係many, any, does.所以都覺得幾深.

同講普通話,

我的寄望也不是太大, 不過亞囡已表現了自己就算啦,等個天安排吧..

My son finished 2nd interview today. To my surprise, they interview the kid alone for about 15 mins and then call us inside and have some chat. The vice princeipal said I will be notified the result in 2 weeks time.

Same to my son, only some english and putonghua. But for putonghua he said the teacher show him some words and ask him to pronounce.

I think they have changed the way to interview student. They did not go through what my son did in the 1st interview.

今日second in完,初時我都以為係同小朋友及家長閒談,點知要小朋友自己一個入房先,家長出面等.大約十幾分鐘再叫家長入去傾.
個女講番全程用英文對答,內容圍繞家庭狀况,同兄弟姐妹關係及課外活動等,不過無用普通話,因為佢唔識講!
家長個part都係問番啲家庭狀况,邊個照顧小朋友等,無問過點解會選貴校或點栽培小朋友等問題.傾咗十分八分鐘,不過可能人人唔同啦.
之後話個嚟兩個星期有result,一係收或waiting list.
我都唔敢話一定得,其他小朋友家長都唔好氣餒,梗有一間心儀嘅學校入選嘅,最緊要自己小朋友健健康康.

今年又同前兩年唔同哦, 可能報讀既人數多左.

The question were similar for my sons plus one general knowlege question. But my son seems did not answer well. Also, my son did not seat properly, he swung a bit when he sat in the swival chair. So I don't think he can get a "straight in".

my son got 2nd interview on last Sat, he didn't sit properly same as your son...the vice-principal told that he didn't answer the question properly in chinese and sometimes says "don't know" in easy questions ...... so me & my husband don't think that he will get an offer from this school...

So, is the 2nd interviewer for the kid is conducted in English, Cantonese, or Putonghua? Or they tested them in all 3 languages like in 1st interview?

I only put in my mobile number, so she called my mobile. But I think if the school wants to find you, she will call whatever numbers you put in the application form, don't worry.

My Japanese friend's kid 2nd interviewed last Thursday, she will receive the result after two weeks. (accepted or waiting list)
I think all 2nd interviewed kids have to wait the results two weeks later this year.

我喺8月23日交表, 即日安非月8月26日第一次面試,
係9月2日收電話(手提) 約9月6日第二次面試.
9月17日收到信通知被取錄.

第二次面試內容如下:

首先,小朋友自己跟職員進入會議室, 由一位副校及英文科主任接見, 大約10-15分鐘, 職員會叫家長進入會議室, 一齊由校員接見.
副 : xx媽咪, 我有啲擔心你小朋友啲中文喎
我: 點解呢 ?
副: 頭先, 我用中文問小朋友, 佢答答吓都用返英文回覆, 係咪好細個已用英文溝通呀 ?
爸: ...係呀, 佢講中文有啲怪怪地...
副:..哦...唔怪之得啦, 咁樣...我地會比較擔心中文嗰方面...
我: ...(徐徐地係個手袋攞出一張剛由幼稚園頒發的 "中文科學科獎") 其實我都有啲奇怪呀, 亞仔學校啱啱派咗成績 (因之前流錦停學, 開學後才補考) 佢仲攞咗班裡面中文科最好嗰個獎...
副: ...嘩...(即時o咀)咁呀...咁呀...(期間佢不停係張紙裡面寫嘢) 咁...頭先問到小朋友, 問佢星期日, 你地帶佢去邊度玩, 佢凈係識講 swimming...咁...小朋友仲有無其他活動呀 ?
我: (帶引亞仔講, 平時星期日佢既活動)
仔:打hocky呀...
副 : ...(不停寫嘢係張紙仔度)...
亞仔 : ..(開始有啲不耐煩, 落咗chair, 行咗去 "抄"我個手袋 ,當時好驚佢攞我部手提出嚟話要打機, 好彩, 帶咗本圖書, 於是亞仔攞咗本圖書, 放係枱面自己睇....真係一額汗)
副 :...(表情, 好滿意, 雖然走開咗, 原來去"抄"本圖書睇)

最後, 由英文科老師, 講解吓學校編班情況, 制度, (有抜尖班..等等) 但係都未同你講收定唔收...

profile內有 :

1)學校成績表
2)學spanish cert (2-3年)
3)劍橋-15個盾
(如果, 有呢張cert, 必入, 因呢間學校好buy)
其他嘢--無

第二次面試緊記 :

1)帶定小朋友鐘意既圖書 1-2本喺手袋
2)小朋友==不用刻意著得==老積
3)父母==一般 (恤衫+牛記也可)
