My son did bring the color pencils but didn't keep in the classroom.  He seems to enjoy more & more about life in class & in school.  He says he takes less time to finish lunch now so he can have more time & more toys to play.  What a good incentive !

Dear All

Having taken a look at the timetable, I find that the time-table is quite well-designed.  Strictly speaking, there are only 2 lessons in the afternoon.  Yet, the schedule between recess & lunch time is quite 'heavy'.

My son said that they started sitting in group yesterday & it was the same kid sitting next to him.

There are pros & cons of keeping the books at school.  I think the teachers have considered all the aspects & then made such decision.  Don't worry.  It's just the beginning of the school term.  If there is revision to do, I think the teachers will ask them to take the books back home.

Right now, all the ECAs, interest classes, school teams & instrumental classes are confirmed.  Finally know why kids are so busy at school.  My kid has to stay after school 2 days a week for courses.

My son behaves the same as yours when he's reading one passage a day.  I almost get angry everyday as he does not really pay attention to reading & understanding the passage.

My son said the Chinese test was a bit difficult.  Maybe there were too many comprehension.

actually i'm not too nervous about how many marks my son has got.  i rather pay more attention to his continuous progress & improvement.

i agree with you.  this makes me think of the time when we were a kid.  our parents didn't really help that much & yet we could do it.

welcome back.  no need to be too worried.  my son also didn't get good marks in chinese test but i recognize he has been improving in chinese after the test.  i'm sure your son will be improving in chinese as well.  don't worry.
