My 20 month old won't eat Chinese meat dishes but will eat western dishes - sherperd's pie, lasagua, pasta, roast chicken etc
It's worth a try f you have time to cook some western dishes.
I make them and they do take a long time, especially my maid don't understand english and can't follow cook books, so I make them for the whole family.
Lasangna is alot of work but very tasty!
