Don't give up, perhaps you didn't have time to think and express what you have thought during interview.
If you really love the school, you may write a letter and express your wish.

In fact, my son is studying in Soka K1 and my younger son is going to Soka next year.
My elder son was in the waiting list in the first round. Actually, I didn't know what's wrong with him. He was quite smart in the interview, even the teachers praised him. I was also satisfied with my performance.  Finally, he got a place in late June. So don't give up hope!
