I also think that it is quite difficult for working mom or dad to attend the interview on Friday.  Yet, if the school really cannot arrange the administrative/teaching staff to work on Sat for so many days (seems that they have a lot of interview days), we have to bear it if we want our child to study there.  
Actually, what I feel most uncomfortable about the letter is their tone.  It seems what they want to say is "they have received so many applications and your child needs to be very good acadmically lest they won't admit you". I think they really focus on acadmic result/ performance of children.  I start to think of whether my child will be happy if he studies there in the future. Or, maybe they can balance well between performance and all-rounded development.  I reall dunno and I will go to the introductory session to check it out.
