I got 2 PM offers - one from KV and one from HKPS (KLN Tong) for Eng/Putonghua class.

Most likely I will go for KV, and reject HKPS's offer this morning.  As my son was born in 2007, I hope it will be a right choice to let him repeat K1 in KV.

Update:

I got:

1) K1 pm offer from KV, and
2) K2 pm (Eng/PTH) offer from KLN Tong HKPS.

My son has completed K1.  There is a risk to repeat K1 and KV's tremendous amount of homework starting from K2 really scares me.

But because of the good reputation of KV, it is a difficult decision to give up KV offer.

If I go for KV, I must bear in mind the followings:

1) since more babies were born in 2008 than in 2007, application / admission for K1 in 2014 is more challenging.

2) speaking English / PTH is weak in KV if comparing to HKPS.

3) school bus has no seat belt but my son must sleep after school at 5 pm.

4) school bus arrives my home at 5:40 pm which is at least 1 hour later than HKPS.

5) if my son cannot get used to KV, he has to complete 1 school year then apply K2 in another school which is the worst case I don't want to face.

I sent a letter to KV requesting am session but I know there is almost no chance.

I might send a letter to HKPS but the result may be the same.

It will be easier for me to decide which one I choose if either one offers am session.

Any comments?

Although I am confused and puzzled at the moment, but I should be happy to have both offers which I dared not to expect when I submitted my applications last year.  I really feel lucky.

1) even if KV offers K2, I won't let my boy to try.  Because he is a small boy and KV's academic level is high.  Without studying K1 in KV, it is difficult for him to get used to everything in school.

2) I think English learning in KV is not easy.  But there is no NET, training on spoken English is rather weak in KV.

3) PTH training is also weak in KV.

4) with the long school bus journey and lots of homework / tests / dictations, chance for other hobbies outside class is less.  Such as swimming, music, drawing, ice-skating, dancing etc... there are so many things kids can learn and enjoy for life time..

The decision was uneasy.  After considering all opinions and my son's ability, I decided to go for KV.  I had released HKPS's offer more than 2 weeks ago.

In addition, KV offered am session while HKPS offered pm.  This is also an important factor for 3-4 years old kids.

I was confused to choose from 2 pm offers.  Since I can swap to am session in KV, my decision to KV is much more comfortable.

There are some campus pictures in KV website, from which campus were these pictures taken?  

Anyone knows more about these 2 campus in terms of area, equipment, attractive decorations, outdoor playground condition.....

Please advise.

Thanks for your information.

For any single route, will the same school bus go to both campus?  Or KV will arrange one for Kent Rd and another one for Dorset Crescent?
