TT fees range from $100-200, most TT now can be done on the internet.
From personal experience non of the bank charges any fees for personal current account.

Apart from HSBC there are other high street banks which you can try Natwest & Barclays.

I personally use HSBC and Natwest.

Cheque is always a good way. If you don't have cheque you can always ask the bank to issue you a bank draft which only cost around HKD$150.
