感覺唔算好成績。5 or above,  對比一下荃官成績，數, 中差幾條街。英文叻過荃官，LS大家半斤八兩。 ...

I would say the "Above 5" rates for 4 cores for both school are at the same level - SJC @ 37% vs TWGSS @ 35%.
However, both schools drop a bit from last year though the magnitude is not that big.

With 138 students sitting the DSE,

Big 3 offer rate = 73/138 = 53%
Jupas offer rate = 120 / 138 = 87%
Jupas degree offer rate per old boy facebook is 78%
One student received the Jardine Scholarship to study in Oxford; and
One student received the Hong Kong Scholarship For Excellence Scheme to study in UCLA

Not as good as LSC but still a very top school.

YWC 12/13 Pre-S1 Eng score is 72.1 which is on the high side of a Band 1B school (e.g. for the same year, KC score is just 71) and much better than the score of 65.8 in 11/12.
With such a good Pre-S1 score, it's 2018 Eng DSE result goes backward from last year is a bit disappointing.

YWC can regularly produce elite students with 5 or 6 5** DSE results but the support to average students is obviously insufficient.
It seems that the school is not pushy in terms of academic performance and focus more on ECA achievements.

In terms of public examination results, i believe QC > LSC / DBS (IB + DSE) > SJC.

Yes. Overall it is pretty close. Public examination results shouldn't be a dealbreaker in choosing these two schools.

SY core subjects above 5 results drop a lot, Maths and LS in particular, coming to prior years.

It depends on how the 82.8% JUPAS degree offer is calculated.
If it is the % of student got JUPAS degree offer over student got offers via JUPAS (degree + sub-degree), then Big 3 offer rate < 41% seems to be making sense.
100% student attending DSE x 87.9% 33222 x 95% got JUPAS offer (assumption) x 82.8% JUPAS degree offer X 60% Big 3 offer = 41.4%

If the Big 3 admission rate is calculated based on the total students attending DSE, 41% makes perfect sense. Please see my calculation above.

It depends on the 82.8% jupas offer rate is calculated based on number of students attending DSE, number of students achieved 33222 or number of students received offer via jupas (UCG funded degree + self finance degree (OU) + sub-degree courses).

I can only find the university admission % data for GT. It will be clearer if we can have the exact number of students admitted to each university.

Also 50% Big 3 admission is not connected to the 24.55 % 4 core 5+ rate.
