Hi janetc and tobygin888
I asked my daughter what's dictation today.  She said the sentences in page 2 only.  I asked how about the other pages.  She said may be dictation later.

I found the Student Handbook said "Return the October Lunch Order Form not later than 22-09-06. 交回十月份餐單。"  However, I cannot find the order form.  I don't know whether she lost it or have not yet distibuted to them.

Your daughter is very great regarding the school, dictation, VA's accessories.  She can tell you so much.  My daughter cannot.

We got a booklist few days ago.  I decided to buy some of the books in the list.  I phoned to the school and they said that we have to buy all.  

You have the choice of buying in Wai Fat or the other bookstores.

Please buy all of them since it may include in our homework.

Dear phylli

I have checked the intranet of SFA with my ID and child ID and found no problem.   I had your experience before.  You have to email Mr. Lai by using your child's email account.  He will do it for you within 1 or 2 days.  You have to check in your child's email account for new user ID and password.

I feel very sorry to hear that your son is still in hospital.  If I were you, I will call school whether they can accept the order by fax.  I can fax or email the order to you tonight and you can fax to school for ordering.  

Your son is in hospital and you would be very busy.  I think school will grant concession for this.

Please call me if you like me to fax or email the order to you.

阿仔沒有那麼快可出院，還在打點滴，d燒都未完全退晒，上上落落，我諗最快都要星期六或日先出得院。醫生話疴和嘔不是大問題，只是阿仔照肺張片又花咗，他氣管很差，小時有asthma，所以每次少少病都好容易大大獲，醫生還是擔心他氣管。阿仔小時已因肺炎入了多次醫院，所以我很擔心。

Dear all SFA fans

The intellectual assessment briefing would be held on today at 18:00 - 19:30.  

Would anyone join or participate this briefing this evening?  Is it useful to help cultivating the child's intelligence?  

We were busy on 2/9/06 and missed the program of the gifted education provided by the school.  Did anyone join the program?  Is it useful or just the same with the current program?

Dear janetc
I think you can.  However, I think you still have to submit the e-homework together with a letter to explain that you cannot log in the SFA website.  Moreover, my daughter does not mention about this.  

By the way, I let my daughter to log on web and finish her e-homework on Saturday morning.

I found Maths E-homework.  The deadline is 8:00am of 27/9/2006.  In other words, we have to do this homework tonight.

I also was very busy last Friday.  Since there is not much response when I drop the message here, I decided not to go but I requested my husband to go for me.

He said that this course explain how to conduct the IQ test briefly.  It can help you to know what is the strengths and weaknesses.  If IQ is more than 130, these pupils would be considered as high IQ and can be selected to join the designed programs of the school.  They also said that about 1% people would be above 130.   He also stressed that those pupils less than 130 may also be selected if their academic result or muscial or leadership skills, etc, is very outstanding because the IQ test cannot screen these pupils.  There will be a discussion with the parents after the IQ test so that the professional psycholigist can explain to you in depth and detail.  The above is a little summary from him and I don't know whether he got is correct or not

We both agreed that my daughter is not elite and her IQ should not be more than 130.  We are considering to take the test because they said they can help us to find the strength and weakness and to cultivate her potentials.  Moreover, the cost of the test is high.

What are the ideas of the other parents?

I asked my husband. He said the school did not mention the number of 資優生each class.

There are less than 10 pupils are 資優生 in P1. There are totalling 170-190 pupils in SFA.

There are 5X-7X pupils are classified as 資優生 for each P3-P6.  The reasons why there are so many
資優生 is that the school will select the first 10 pupils outstanding in Chinese, English & Maths, GS.

My daughter got 88 in English Dictation; however, she got 40 marks in Maths (fail).  I don't know what are the questions.      In fact, she should know how to do. She may not know what did the questions ask.

There is still Maths assessment tomorrow even they got Maths test today.
