Lots of children from elite local schools (including DGS, DBS, SPCS) and international schools (including CIS, ESF, ISF, VSA, CKY) go to miniMinds or Kelly Yang.  Go to their websites for more information and pay them a visit to see if that is what you want or not.

The reality is lots of native English speaking children (and adults) write poor English.  Good English writing skills do not come naturally even if English was your first language.

看書看得多便自然會寫作？ 同樣道理，喜歡吃、吃得多便自動變厨神？ How interesting...

It seems many IS parents here truly believe that good writing skills (English or Chinese) will come naturally if you read a lot.  I suspect that is because IS students typically don't have a lot of homework so parents don't fully appreciate how much hard work and practice your children and their teachers put in everyday at school to improve their writing.

That's precisely my point.  Reading alone won't make you a good writer if you don't actually write.  The only way to improve writing is to write a lot and keep writing - ideally to have someone (school teacher or external tutor, if required) to mark-up your work and learn from their mark-ups.
