Any parents or students from LPCUWC can share with me the program flow and context of the Challenge Day?

I see.  So when ksenia said the number of applicants plummeted this year, she meant the number of local applicants plummeted.  Thanks for the clarification.

I guess the reasons are:
1. More IB schools, like SPCC, DBS, CSS, CKY, LA.... through train, they don't want to change, except schools without IB,
2. SPCC & DBS's strategy to keep some IB students in house - not to LPC and overseas
3. No HKCEE as filter, based on HAST may not the best instrument to get the cream
4. Financial burden may not an issue for local students as LPC maintain the DSS status

Just wild guess.............

He didn't, he still in a DSS school's IB stream.
You can ask ksenia, his daughter is in LPCUWC.

Why the number of applicants plummeted this year?  Is it because of the financial turmoil in a number of Western countries?

They changed that every year. Problem solving and adventure games aim for team work and creativity, no the solution.

Focus on the exercise not the answer. Enjoy the game.

everything. don't freak out. cos the number of applicants plummeted this year and there's a high change to get in...but quality of students drop sharply

then what were the questions about? like were the questions abt current affairs, your personal information, etc?

I do but I can't tell you. It's different for everyone.

It doesn't matter if you're confident in English. LPC loves both but they tend to pick more local school students in these few years.

Not from IS, more in Chinese group.

so it doesn't matter which language you chose? i mean will they accept more students from english groups, and less in chinese groups?

I shared most info in the thread, the deleted part more related to his feeling and he didn't want to share in here and I deleted the paragraph as per his request.
If she can change back to Chinese, will be much better for her to perform. LPC won't judge your performance by language.

Could you tell me more about the challenging day please? My daughter's mother language is Chinese, but she chose English group for her Challenging day. How should she prepare for the day?
What was the individual interview about?

I don't have hard feeling, just for curiosity. I guess you may observe something interesting and I oversight that.....
