真係暫時鬆一口氣呀...經過2個月既遮眼訓練,早幾日去覆診,佢既弱視終於好返晒喇 不過視光師話唔可以鬆懈,因為佢有機會好亦都會有機會返轉頭,所以仍需要帶眼鏡,但其實佢唔帶眼鏡睇野都好清楚,視光師話帶左可減低弱視返黎,所以帶多半年先,半年後再決定要唔要繼續帶眼鏡,所以有小朋友弱視既家長唔洗咁擔心,弱視真係有得醫,但一定係8歲前治療

其實你有冇問過醫生小朋友白內障,係咪真係有需要要咁細個做手術呢. 係咪白內障呢個問題好嚴重呢 ? 因為我自己都有呢 d 問題, 不過我o向我細個 5 yrs 時發現. 一路都有睇政府醫生 , 可能人人的 case 唔同. 醫生就從來都冇叫我做手術.直到我三十歲, 我問醫生 , 醫生話都可以試下做手術. 咁我就做左手術 , 但我覺得做完手術後係好開心,因為可以睇得清楚左,可以唔使帶眼鏡 , 但有一樣唔開心的, 就係以前我睇唔到好遠o既野,近o既野就睇得好好. 而家.... 好似 d 老人家咁老花,好細隻o既字要帶眼鏡先睇到.不過我唔知小朋友會唔會咁.

仲有我個女都遺傳左我眼睛o既問題, 唉.! 六合彩又唔我中, 50/50 機會率有同冇, 咁都比佢中左有果邊. 但醫生話咁細個唔使做手術住,佢話眼球未完全發晒育,到大個 d 先再諗.

好"登"你開心呀! 可以好返已經好好啦! 但係大家都要努力呀!
囡囡星期六又再去驗眼啦! 但都有少少擔心!

唔洗唔開心啦! 我初初都好似你甘, 但諗到早發現好過遲發現嗎?

右眼成550度遠視,左眼好OK,so弱視
而家都係靠遮住隻好眼來train隻lazy eye
雖然而家要戴眼鏡同遮眼,但我深信只要努力,一定可以改善架.

我小朋友都有成380度散光 (兩隻眼也是),  戴咗眼鏡都係矇查查咁，醫生話算係弱視一種，仲話冇得醫TIM..當時聽完後個心簡直是晴天霹靂, 不知幾擔心! 不竟弱視對小朋友嘅成長影響很大, 讀書成績更不用說了。但在偶然的機會下, 得悉香港有間專醫治12歲以下小朋友的弱視, 便帶小朋友去CHECK 吓啦, CHECK眼反正又係免費嘅, 就順便聽埋講座囉, 最初對這套TREATMENT都半信半疑架, 因為總覺得醫生都話冇得醫咯, 但又唔甘心喎...! 經過佢地詳細解釋及參觀過那些儀器再加有幾個成功例子, 開始對佢地有些信心, 做一個TREATMENT 都係個半月時間, 而成功率又幾高, 比起遮眼要用咁耐時間，但又未必有咩野幫助, 而且又冇乜副作用

但好彩地我小朋友經過佢地詳細檢查後, 證實不是弱視, 而那位驗光視更老實地說不需做呢D TREATMENT, 繼續帶眼鏡都可以控制倒, 當時聽完不知幾開心,

My daughter (4 years old)'s left eye has serious far-sightness and it is a lazy eye too. Also,when she looks at something close, both of her eyes will move towards her nose. I bought her very beautiful eye patches from Poly Vision ($250/50 patches) and she uses the eye patch everyday at school. The teachers are very supportive and the children are understanding, at first they have asked me why she has to cover her eye, but after teacher's explaination, they are all ok, some of them even came to me and asked me for an eye patch because it is pretty!
As a mom, you should always on your kid's side and JUST accept whatever defects they have and help them to combat the problem, nevermind others opinions, focus on your kid's goodies, we should be proud of ourselves because we are responsible, we help our kids to tackle the problem but not denying it for the sake of better appearance!Carry on everyone, do the RIGHT THING!!!

my 3.5 year old daughter has 左眼700 , 右眼 350 遠視!  She is wearing glasses now, and we will go back in August to see if she will need to patch her eye.  Any experience to share about patching?

What is the difference of the visual acuity between her right and left eye?

Patching may not be necessary if there is no difference when she wears the glasses.

There is definitely difference...but I don't know the number.  During her test on Tuesday, she cannot get many answers correct with her left eye with glasses, while her right eye is probably 80% ok.

You needa make sure that the difference is not too big or else it may boost him to "Lazy eye".

Yeah...Thus, we are back for examination in August to see if we need to start patching.

my 2 yrs old son has 400 farsighted left eye but right eye normal. Doc said he has lazy eye and need to patch 1-2hrs/ day.

I'm worry as don't think he'll cooperate and he hates putting on his glasses. Doc said I found out early as most lazy eyes were noticed after they go to school. I wonder whether I should pretend not know and wait until he is 3 or 4 yrs old so he understands better.

Has your doctor told you the best corrected visual acuity (VA) of both eyes of your kid?

If the VA of the lazy eye is very bad, patching cannot help within a short period of time. You kid is now 2 and the visual system is supposed to be undergoing quick development until the age of 3. Therefore, the lazy eye situation may change obviously in the coming months. If he is not willing to patch and you have no method, you at least need to lead him willing to wear the glasses.

i don't know his VA. I'll ask our doc next time. My son has started to accept his glasses. I'll let him use the glasses a bit longer before doing the patching cause after the last eye exam, he is so scare of everything and don't like to go to a new place. I think it hurts his emotionally much more than physically.

i'm hoping he won't need to patch for long. thx for your sharing
