he is pretty happy and comfortable.

2. for the workload,  to my surprise, the homework is reasonable (as i was told studying in International schools should have been more relaxing!)
He is now in Grade 2 (Local school P.2)
Weekly assignment / homework list would be given every Sunday and they are requested to finish it day by day.
a. English - 20 vocab items to be tested - both dictation and meaning quiz every friday.
they are requested to write once every day.
b. Math homework - 1 or 2 pages of worksheets daily
c. Bible quiz: memorise+dictation every friday.
d. chinese homework - not much- not daily but saying every week. dictation saying every  month.
e.social science project - every 6 -8 weeks (in MAR = volcano project, in May Book Character Day - Compare and acontrast.)

Dear All ICS parent,

I would like to apply this school for my girl who will turn 6 in this coming Aug.
1) May I know which grade should I apply?
2) As we are only from local Chinese family. So will there be any chance they call us up for the interview?
3) What is the test about during interview? (Paper or Oral)

1. Their cut-off date is 31 Aug. Let's say a kid borns on ore before 31 Aug 2002, will go to Grade 1 in Sep 2008.

2. Don't worry, we're also local Chinese family. They will accept your kid if she could speak English well.

3. I have no idea about the interview because my girl entered in kinder.

Or Are all R2 kinders' students will go to PP?

My girl will go to R1 this August, is the student no need to wear uniform?

I've heard that only those students who joined ICS since R2 have difficulty in being admitted to primary school.

For R1 & R2 students, they can either wear school uniform or not. Even they have an option to wear other clothing, the students must follow the dress code stated by the ICS-K.

I live in North Point and would like to apply ICS.  May I ask if there is school bus from ICS to North Point & how long it will take?  My boy was born on Dec 2004.  Is it too late to apply ICS kindergarden or P1?

there is no direct bus from North Point to ICS kindergarten, but you can take bus 680/682 to Shatin and change another school bus / bus / taxi to Fotan.
Why not call ICS to see if they still have vacancy?

Thanks for your info.  CIS is good but really too far especially it doesn't has direct school bus.  I may consider Quarry bay school (ESF) for P1.  Do you have any information about ESF.  Is it good?

Hi Hi JarJar,

My son is going to study at ICS (kindergarten) in August. We live in Chai Wan and I face the same problem - school bus. I wonder if we can collect more ICS parents living on Hong Kong Isaland so that we can book a school bus, which is independent from the school,to ICS.

I'm also living in Chai Wan right now and my girl is going to ICS R1 coming August. Transportation is a big headache for me too! Which class (a.m. / p.m.) are you going to? My girl will go to a.m. class. I've asked the school bus but the timing is far from satisfactory. I'm considering either moving to Shatin or take my girl to school by my husband (driving).  
If your child are going to the a.m. class may be we can share the traffic cost. You know the traffic cost is really a huge.
