Although I am one of the anxious parents, I do think I understand why schools are confusing these days.

Problem is all parents apply for more than 1 DSS.  Thus, even the school does not know who will enroll or not until the last minute.  

If they send out rejection letters too soon, they may have problem of not having enough students (although this does sound odd).

traavelling for too long a day will be tiring for kids, that may adversely affect their studies too. Parents should be aware of that

To Tai Hang Road parents:

School bus operator told me that the trip to SCCPS will be around 20 minutes.  This is a lot better than I originally thought...

Anyway, hope this helps

I think no rejection letter will be sent out as last year.

If there is such a case, the letter seemed to tell nothing. It's just a waste of postage, and the parent gets no information out of it, as everybody knows that the school is under the selection process until next Sep.

My friend has asked for me, she told me that all acceptance letters have been sent.   So need to wait after the registration.  But the chance for the waiting list is small since this yr's competition is v. high..... so don't know when they ll call u......... my friend told me not to think abt this school first....

You still have chance.  Last year I received the phone immediately after the first batch's registration.  If St Stephen is your first choice, write the letter to principal.  Don't give up!!

Yes, I did write letter.

I didn't check as I sent the registered letter.  From my point of view, I don't want to disturb the officer too much.

Yes, my son is studying G1 in St Stephen now. He is very happy so I am sure I did the right thing.

May I ask if you have receive the waiting list letter last year? If not, that mean it is a surprise for you to get the acceptance call by phone last year. Thanks!
