放位區

自從有了男校的OFFER, 已經想放棄宣道(APS)的面試. 因為囝囝想唸男校的心願已達成, 即使APS 有OFFER, 囝囝都不會選. 不過, 心中忐忑還想一試, 不是因為它的升中派位好, 而是它是我們步行以內的學校.

不過, 剛看清楚面試日期, 完全撞了小一導向班. 小一導向班上課是我們的優先. 有學校這樣無條件給我們教導, 對我們尊重. 我們也要尊重它. 本來在小一導向班之前參加的活動因導向班而已經取消了. 現在若因要試別的學校而缺席導向班更不合理.

宣佈結束所有面試了. 天主已安排了一切...

thanks for your advice, but finally i still choose SLS instead. Except for the location (SLS is close to me, only 10 min by walk), another issue is RC 40 or above  pupils per class. that's too heavy i think......

but without doubt, RC is getting famous espl after moved to net 12.

I tried to release the place of WY today by phone and they said they wanted me to write them a letter for their records before the release can be executed.  

If you are waiting for a place in WY, please be patient. I will write the letter ASAP.  I am not sure if they will call waiting-list applicants or add the place to the lucky draw.

現在才留意到原來有呢個放位區的 Topic, 補翻資料給各家長

家住港島區, 我仔仔的情況如下:
-- 第一階段電腦派位: 20分抽聖約瑟失敗了
-- 考獲三間直資, 放了 HKUGA 和高主教, 最後選擇入讀聖保羅男校  

Thomasha 兄, 看了你的數個回應, 原來你家住港島, 最後放棄了香港華仁, 選擇了深水埗的英華, 但未來六年每天過海, 小朋友會否感到很辛苦? 是你自己帶小朋友過海? 還是讓他獨自坐媬姆車 ? 我真的建議你搬過九龍住, 因小朋友和家長都會好辛苦的

我都跟太太研究過報讀九龍區的小學, 但想起每天過海, 我太太極力反對下放棄了, 所以我們只報了港島區的小學

I have not selected Ying Wa because they have not given my son an offer yet.  He will have a 2nd interview soon.

For the time being, I have selected SSCPS in priority to WY.

SSCPS has a spacious and beautiful campus.....good for kids but Stanley is too far to commute (for me)

Wah Yan primary is a very good school and if I can also apply to this school, I will definitely do, too bad we can only choose 1 school in the 第一階段派位  

Thomasha 兄, just joking between you and me...I want to trade your Wah Yan seat for my SPCPS seat?

I would have considered your proposal if you had told me when you received the offer and before I received other offers.

Do you think SPCPS is not as good as WY, or is it just because the latter is free-of-charge?  (BTW, SPCPS gave us our first disappointment, so I have an inherent disliking towards it. )

I came from a Catholic boys school and my family is Catholic, therefore we prefer a Catholic boys school for my kid
I think Wah Yan,  St. Jospeh's and SPCPS are all same top level and free of charge is an attached bonus, save us some vacation money
