面試期間我感覺唔到校長特別希望收old boys囝囝,
不過好同意kikidaddy講法,
no connection而取得offer應該係50 out of 200!

SPCC has a strong preference to kids with connection. Every year, there is about 30% of the seats are given to those with no connection. Assuming same % for DBS, there is still around 50 seats for the kids with no connection to compete. It's not too bad (50 out of 200) at all!

As what jjmag said, we should be very proud of our sons!

I think the seats for G1 is only 150 instead of 200.

If that is so extreme, there would be a circle that your son may not be able to enter, even if he is admitted - then you may not necessarily name it a miracle.

Assuming there are 300 kids attending the 2nd interview and all 100 connected kids can get an offer, there will be 50 non-connected kids will eventually get an offer. The chance for non-connected kids will be 50 /200.

I thought the candidates with connection would have the 2nd interview in the 1st interview week. So now look like that the 2nd interview time is arranged according to the 1st interview time. Was your 1st interview on 8/10 afternoon?

Thanks for your elaboration.
I knew that last year over 300 kids (~350) were invited for 2nd interivew and so the 2nd interview date was extended. Not sure if it also happens this year, so the 2nd interview last date may not be tomorrow 30 Nov. If someone want to share the interview content, better to share from next Monday 5 Dec onwards.

As seen in the orient newspaper (the link that shared by one mom before), Principal Mr. Cheung said that as they found some smart boys (~3x) didn't went into the 2nd interview, so they specially extended the 2nd interview quota to accomdate those smart boys. Finally 1x boys out of those 3x were admitted.

So the 2nd interview # would probably go beyond 300 if the school found that more talented boys in the pool.

It really happened in 2009. But there was only one batch in 2010. Up to now, I don't think they will call 2nd batch of candidates for 2nd interview.

thx, 佢昨天很頑皮,收唔收巳成定局,我相信入倒second round的小朋友都幾smart的 ^^
至於計分,好過local school的制度喇,如果係計分,哥哥响度讀係必收,如果哥哥讀喇沙,考都唔駛考了

早几年,有阿哥响度讀,都無收弟弟,報第2間,其他學校見哥哥响間咁好嘅,又唔收,校長要公平,1 st round一律唔計分,算係對無connection嘅小朋友公平喇(我個人意見)

我地都岩岩in完。以我所知，今日係最後一日。雖然我地都有related分，但我都覺得要有奇蹟先收到我個仔，因為我知佢能力真係有限。希望大家都good luck la.

From 15/11 - 29/11, total got 11 weekdays + 2 Saturdays, do u know how many interviewees in total?
