Hi,

If DDS is really taken place, the school will accept those elites through interview or entrance exam.  Does it imply we have no chance to promote to P.1 direct?

Do u know if 2009-2010 St. Jo primary will become a full-day school, that's mean they will have to move a new premises either or will reduce the no of class (existing is 8 classes per level)?

Another concern is someone who know St. Jo kinder will teach phonics?  Please help.

I will to choice St. Joseph because I assume can "one dragon" to P1. I unpaid the school fee of Victoria on today(school fee, book & stationary fee, etc around 4000+) so I cannot to re-choice Victoria again!If u are me, you will choice ST.Jo or Victoria??

Although Victoria teach English(include Jolly phonic)  & Potunghwa but I observed my son ......

So I will change my maid to Bun Bun hope he can talk many English!

我同意你話"一條龍" 唔洗諗， 好似之前有mama話90%入返小學(at the past history). 如果係就理想，k2-k3 比$讀，之後就11網p.1-p.6唔洗$. 但係有人話會轉直資，真係好頭痛。

咁你知唔知2009轉全日是否同時轉直資呀!

仲有我計過如囝囝讀番依家個間kinder，每月$970!

I am also at the information collection stage.  But seems that there will be no Phonics at St. Jo.  My son's Kinder is using Letterland, and he loves it so much.  I think I will find Letterland course for him if we take St. Jo at the end.

I think it'd be better to register on 23 May so as to reserve the seat, we still have 3 more months to consider.    

I've asked my friend, whose boy is studying in St. Jo Primary School now, about the transition from kinder to primary school, as the academic level for kinder students is a bit easy while it is difficult for primary students.  She said it is OK for her boy so far far coz the school focus more on written and reading even less on speaking.  The school also encourages their students to read many reference books.  She was satisfied with her boy's performance.

Does anyone know the coming school term will start in Aug or Sept 2007?  As I am planning some summer courses for my kid.

Hi CHKWAN,

You have to consider the pros and cons of both kinders before making decision.

For me, the chance of changing school for my kid is big as I gonna move to HK side in Sept.

It's fine for me if St. Jo Primary is really changed to DSS in 2009 coz it won't be bounded by the Education Bureau and its confusing policies.

My friend's son was also accepted by St.Jo last year,
but she rejected.  since she bought all the stuff (ie. school bag, 2shirts, 2pants, 2coats which all size4)
