想同阿女現在返教會,佢現在k1,唔知遲唔遲呢?要返教會幾耐,才可以受洗?

it is not a matter of time, it's a matter of whether you are eligible to be baptised.  different churches will have different requirement courses. Like mine, you have to take a course of 慕道班, then 浸禮班, then have to go thru an interview, then you can join the baptism. And we have 3 times a year.

But please do not use this as a tool for seeking higher chance to be accepted by primary school.  God will know.

I was also studying a catholic primary
school in the past. But my parent is not
so happy for me to be a catholic. After
that, my secondary school was no
religion.
So that no strong intention for me to be catholic. In my mind, I think to be a
catholic is better for my kids. I live in
Kowloon, any church I can join ?
Is it just walk in on Sunday morning ?
Is it too stranger for me to walk in or
take some course ?

你咁心急咪帶佢去菲律賓極速領洗囉
不過可能到時已經杜絕此情況

I also recognise this news in the past. It may be a faster way to meet the target.
As a parent, I don't want to use this improper way. We need to behave ourselves.
Although we can use this way to enter
your expected primary school, your kid's school will know that.
It has a bad influence for them when
they grow and know it.
I want to use a proper way to make the marks for my kids.
May be they will not willing to be a catholic when they grow up. But it is not my business, they can select anything they want, especially in the religious.
I believe no religious in your mind when you born. All of catholic also needs to attend a bible class before they are to be a catholic.
May be having a extra 5 marks is the aim to be a catholic but it is also a chance for the church to attract the new comer.
I believe the church is also welcome to all of us to join. May be my kids will believe the God in the final ? Who know ?
Take it easy. We also use the proper way to do so. We also devote the time and heart to attend the class and believe the Gods.
Finally, the church also cannot make us to believe the Gods. It is the other business. Nobody know ?

以往我都考慮過為5分而信教的問題！
我朋友是虔誠的基督徒，她不反對，她說神好寬容，歡迎所有人！
她說起初返教會的動機不是最重要的，最重要是真正認識神。根本要經過好長時間才受浸，之後也要繼續返。對只有目的而心中容不下神的人不而言，要返at least2,3年教會，談何容易？這種投入，是不能偽裝的。
所以，要考慮清楚的是你本人是否抗拒信教，否則他日孩子信了而你卻在門外，怎算？

天主教要在3歲前領洗.否則要上主日學幾年先有機會領洗.

如為入學而受洗，我會覺得好核突，好反感
，太功利主義！係唔係為左入名校而無所不用其極？

我好耐之前都有想過好唔好比囡囡領洗/受浸,但最終3思後都是不想以自己的想法而影響她一生.我會教好她,但亦希望主會在她需要時出現,讓她自己有選擇權,所以同daddy都無咁做.但現在都要想想她考的私校兩個不同信仰(天主教及基督教)都有收她.我現在都要想清楚點行lee步???

上主和神很寬容, 不同人有不同原因信主, 以前很多人為奶粉為入學歸於主. 小朋友入了教會學校, 便有時間多接觸, 讀聖經.

不能學會寬容, 還指責, 要多看一點聖經了.

my wife and I are not christian... and I take my daughter (k1 now) to 主日學 for three months... she was happy there and I feel good too...

sure i am still considering if go baptized for her in order to have better chance for enter top school...

the point is if you want kids grow up under this belief/ religion for their own good...

i agree leesasa "動機不是最重要的"... long history ago...poor people went to church for food only... but god didn't mind... and made them touch and became son/ daughter of god eventually...

Agreed!  Father once told us that if you contact God/Church because of your child -- it might be the idea of GOD.

So, unless you don't like Bible, otherwise go take class 2 years before you child to attend P1 admission. :loveliness:
